    Coolant block drain plug replacement

Thanks for heads up. Would not be fun to break a bolt in that spot as engine would prob need to be pulled to get to that area with a drill

    Coolant block drain plug replacement

Hey boys, Been a long frustrating couple weeks. After rebuilding my oil cooler/flushing cooling system multiple times, I found out my radiator sprung a leak. Was able to source a really nice oem replacement from a 12k mile 03 mach 1 at a decent price. Just pulled coolant drain block plug...

    Coolant leak above drain plug

Lol. Thanks for the info. This definately helps. Guess I have some work to do next weekend getting it pulled apart.... any thoughts on oem vs aftermarket? I've heard "drop ins" from fluidyne, afco, and mishi aren't so drop in. Oem ones are pretty hard to find in decent shape

    Coolant leak above drain plug

Alright guys... pretty baffled here. Did an oil cooler rebuild/block adapter gasket, changed all hoses, tstat, and flushed system (oil was in coolant from oil cooler gasket failure). Car runs great, no smoke, no coolant in oil. Took car out for a ride to circulate distilled water throughout...

Question on coolant hose from crossover to thermostat housing

Hps makes complete kit for around 250 but I replaced all hoses with motorcraft ones while she was up for winter with exception of coolant crossover to thermostat (which is no longer made). Didn't want to buy whole hps set for 1 hose. Luckily was just able to source a ford one from the few that...

Question on coolant hose from crossover to thermostat housing

Thank you to everyone that chipped in on this. Part found but they are extremely limited supply as these are no longer made by ford or aftermarket. From what im seeing there may only be 10-20 left in existence.. Special Thanks to CJ428mach who got me the right part #/got me pointed in right...

Question on coolant hose from crossover to thermostat housing

Thanks CJ. Smart man snatching up that hose back then. As mentioned before the parts for these cars are becoming rarer by the day as ford continues to scale back replacement parts for 03-04s. This hose on my 03 is ok for now but figured since I was doing my oil cooler adapter gasket and...

Question on coolant hose from crossover to thermostat housing

Not sure if this $10 continental hose is correct one. Only 20" long and doesn't look anything closely resembling hose I need(see top hose profile in hps set picture). Think I'm SOL on this one and will have to either bite bullet and buy HPS set or go with universal hose from summit Thanks for...

Question on coolant hose from crossover to thermostat housing

Thanks man. I appreciate it. Can't seem to find them anywhere at Ford and fear they might be discontinued (like many of the basic maintenance parts for our cars). Can't seem to track any down from aftermarket companies either (with exception of full replacement silicone kits from HPS). Kinda...

Question on coolant hose from crossover to thermostat housing

Hey guys, I'm having trouble sourcing a replacement coolant hose for an 03 cobra (long one that runs from crossover to thermostat housing). LMR has one listed for 96-01 cobra and 2003-04 mach 1 but none listed for 03-04 cobras. Called them and they couldn't tell me me for if it would or...

    WANTED: 03 oil cooler

Thanks man. Looks solid on external surfaces especially considering mileage. I'll stand by for more pictures of the core. As mentioned before; my biggest concern is the o ring channel areas than run around the sides of the lower and upper area on core (not o ring areas on top and bottom of core)

    WANTED: 03 oil cooler

10-4. Thanks for response. How much are you asking for it? Also what type of shape is it in/mileage of the car it came off of. Sorry for all the questions but I finally got mine apart and the core has some corrosion near o ring lips that could affect sealing so just really want to make sure core...

    WANTED: 03 oil cooler

I appreciate the response.. yeah its a pain for sure but other than going the delete option I didn't really have a choice since it had a bad block gasket on mounting plate as well as bad seals on core of cooler. My shop has my cooler now trying to get it apart but I'm not too hopeful as I marred...

    WANTED: 03 oil cooler

Anyone have an 03-04 stock oil cooler they are looking to part with? Found some rough ones on ebay but looking for one in decent condition. Trying to rebuild mine after it puked oil into coolant. I cannot for the life of me seem to get core separated from housing (gasket has melted inside...

Help to identify noise at 3K rpm on 03 Vert

Thanks MG0h3. I'm hearing it slightly in 4th as well but it is the most prevalent in 3rd gear at 3k rpm. I get it up on a lift and run it. I appreciate the response either way.

Help to identify noise at 3K rpm on 03 Vert

Hoping someone can help out with this....i am getting a metallic repeating noise from back of engine/trans area on my 03 Vert. This noise is only heard between 2500-3K rpm in 3rd gear at partial load/throttle with clutch pedal out. Car runs/drives strong. Also, clutch (spec stg 3) is fairly...
