And that’s part of my point to the post here. I want the car a touch louder but not drastically. I know if I switch to slp or borla it’ll probably end up being too loud
Because to me, cats are somewhat restrictive and unnecessary. The car is insured as classic anyways so EPA can’t technically do shit about it since I’m exempt from emissions on it. I’m not dogging the setup I just want the car to be a touch louder. I don’t think cats are what set the tone but...
Hey everyone, will I need to be retuned if I remove my cats? The car has an ARH longtube system but id like to remove the cats for a little bit more flow and loudness. Magnaflow mufflers will still keep a good tone and not stupid loud. But I do not have any down stream sensors. I have my up...
That’s what I was thinking possibly. My last 2 sample reports had noted high silicone. Motor has almost 60,000 on it. But the heads were off from the previous owner having them studded. I cut filters everyday on equipment and I know when I see metal in the media
Hey all, I changed the oil in my 03 this weekend. I took the filter to work and cut it open and cut out the media. Squeezed the oil out and inspected it. I didn’t see any sparkles but what I’m worried/curious is there was a bunch of blue and black specs of something. It did not appear to be...
Hey all, what would cause my torque curve to be all over in this photo I’ve attached of my dyno run/tune. Car runs and pulls fine other wise nothing out of the ordinary. Merry Christmas!
Could you elaborate on “leaning on the blower”? My IAT was upper 80s if I remember right. Funny thing my car was tuned where your car is on that dyno sheet. Is that shop in WI?
It’s just stumbling a lot and surging several hundred rpms but when the ac is off. When I have the ac on, it seems quite a bit more steady. But once I turn it off after a few seconds it’s just like it’s hunting for idle. I did a pull today and hit 6400ish and it was 11.1.
I will do that this weekend! I’m going to do a wot pull today and see what my afr is. Isn’t the sweet spot 11.2-11.6? It makes a little over 700 to the wheels on e85.
Idling issues. Just trying to make sure everything is where it needs to be. I’m wondering if I need a retune after buying the car from Wisconsin and bringing it to Arizona
I am on e85 I’m going to do some wot pulls this weekend and double check and make sure it’s all good. What should they be just cruising around say 45-50mph?
What should afr be around idle? I was seeing in the 14s. I know at wot ideal is 11.2-11.6 area. But I’m not sure what my timing is at. My aeroforce reads ignition advance is that the same as timing? I do apologize if any questions seem silly. I’m learning still and I want to know as much as I...
Everything was checked on the dyno. He said everything looked good. But I’m tempted to take it to someone else. With the car idling and me unplugging the iac it won’t die but it’ll get very close to dying.
So i guess it wasn’t sudden but as soon as I purchased the car and got it here to Arizona, I noticed the idle getting a little more erratic. I took it to a dyno for an evaluation to make sure everything was all good with the fuel, air/elevation change. It came from Wisconsin. The guy is the one...
