    Made mistake bought modded Terminator

Honestly, easiest thing is to just register it out of state. If you have a family member that lives out of state that's the best way. If not just open an LLC in a state that doesn't have smog/emissions testing and title the car under the business entity. This will get you out of state license...

What did you do for your Terminator today?

The question is not whether the RXT is a good clutch. Without a doubt its one of the best out there. But it is problematic when going with a Magnum as you need to clearance the fork and trans quite substantially in order to have the proper travel in the clutch fork. The DYAD has none of these...

What did you do for your Terminator today?

The DYAD's are sold with their own flywheel....its all one unit. The flywheel is recessed (see video) which allows one of the discs to sit inside there. This the is reason this clutch works so well with Magnums.....the clutch stack height is a good bit shorter than your typical RXT which sits...

Maximum motorsports upper rear coil over mounts

I have not had a chance to drive with them yet but I did install them. I have spherical eyelets on the lower shock mounts as well so i imagine it will be some increased NVH. I don't really care though as the car is stripped out, solid motor mounts, etc.....weekend warrior and occasional HPDE...

    Ported VMP 2.3 Dyno numbers

Whats the timing at? What were the ambient temps and IAT2 temps? What is elevation? SAE corrected or standard numbers? Mustang dyno or dynojet? What is AFR at WOT? What kind of rear tire? What does boost look like throughout the curve?…..start by posting dyno chart. All will affect the...

    TerminatorCobraJP's 700WHP Cobra Build

That's unreal dude.....unemployed or not, guy should figure it out. Pay you back over time or something. Or when he gets a job. These cars being what they are get hit on the resale value pretty hard if there's a claim for damage. So you're kind of getting screwed on both ends. Personally I...

    03 Cobra: Teksid Build Questions

For a built motor i would skip OEM head bolts and go straight to ARP studs. Get the 2000's if you can swing it. Buy once cry once.

    03 Cobra: Teksid Build Questions

This should give you the full scope on Teksid conversions from Malcolm's website. https://www.mdracingkc.com/index.php/test-menu/9-teksid-block-conversion-03-cobra Head gaskets....always replace. Cometic MLS or Felpro OEM style. Your engine builder will take care of that. I am going with MLX...

Is it worth trying to restore my 04 Cobra??

Like Bob said above, don't sink any money into it until you know what you're dealing with. First thing to do on the list is check cylinder compression and bore scope it if possible. If that checks out and you know you have a healthy motor then its worth putting in some fresh plugs, oil, coil...

    Sigala carbon fiber pieces

Im glad you've had good luck with your pieces and, like said above, give credit to them for producing carbon parts for these old cars. With CarbonDriven seemingly out of business, they appear to be the only game in town. Unfortunately my experience was not a positive one. I made a bulk order...

    Coilovers

Whatever you choose make sure your shocks/struts are valved to the spring rate you're using and also that you can select what spring rate you want (or at least that it says the spring rate in the description). If those two things aren't listed, you're likely buying junk and would pass...

    Tuning options with aftermarket ECU’s

If you already know generally how to set up a tune, your idle, fuel tables, spark etc you'll be fine. But if you're talking about literally learning how to tune without any background, you may be better off getting a remote tune from the guys that work with MS3 on the regular as a baseline and...

    2003 Cobra - Dyno Results

Anytime dyno numbers are posted we need to know mustang dyno vs dynojet. Standard numbers or SAE corrected? Without knowing those two things numbers are *almost* useless. But nice numbers all the same...torque monster. Sure it doesn't have a lower pulley? Upper only?

CCW offset help for solid axle car

Well that's one reason Ford put them on there sure....its still an additional damper on the axle which on an SRA with coilovers is going to be a pretty rough ride. Anything I can do to mitigate that is welcomed in my book. I don't have all the answers lol.....i'll likely test it out with and...

CCW offset help for solid axle car

Im building the car to be able to take a corner and do the occasional HPDE event......not so much drag oriented other than digs on street maybe. I want the extra dampening for that.

CCW offset help for solid axle car

I measured the rear end housing when I rebuilt it to make sure....its a 99-04. It has the 14mm lower control arm bolts as well. I don't have the measurements on the IRS, but perhaps someone can add that here for context. I've always heard the 99-04 was closer to the IRS width than the 94-98...

CCW offset help for solid axle car

The offset is more for determining the outside fitment ie the wheel lip with the fender. For clearance to your interior component ie shocks/springs/axle etc you need to determine your backspacing. Tire choice and how much you're lowered will also play a factor here. Lower the car the closer the...

    Aluminum Exhaust Build

It should work if you do a v-band right after the muffler and then another one on the other side of the axle. You need 2 per side in order to rotate the piping out that goes over the axle. 3in will be tough but doable. I want to run tips as well but with a Panhard bar makes it almost impossible...

    3 inch catback

Bassani is like the only 3in i know of....think also Magnaflow made one? I'd take it to a good exhaust shop and have them custom one for you. With how expensive catbacks have gotten with inflation pricing, honestly a custom job might even come out less.

    Rebuild Thoughts? Pros vs. cons?

If youre pulling the whole thing apart anyway id def have the heads gone through and freshened….valve job, new seals, guides, lifters/lash adj if needed, etc. Depending on what heads you have should also replace the exhaust valve seats as theyve been known to fail. Ford recalled a bunch of them...

Looking for ****in Fast Shift Knob

I dont understand what folks find appealing about these….its really cheesy IMO. If anything the text should be where 4th gear is, not your overdrive gear lol. Long term, your OEM knob will become much more valuable and hard to find. I sold mine years ago and regret it.

    Engine rebuild help

Keith Rhea of Wonder Racing in PA is one of the best 4v engine builders in the country. And Wicked Motorsports is right around the corner from you…..one of the best 4v tuners out there. They should be able to square you away.
