hey everyone,
i've been having some issues with my car ever since i installed the tvs,, first it was the belt slip and i removed the 79mm pulley and replaced it with a griptech 81mm pulley (problem solved).
second issue i had is that my boost gauge ( i'm using snow performance boost gauge was...
A Good choice in upgrading the intake manifold!
a very straight forward and easy, tune wise you should be able to drive it normally without any issues until you get it tuned.
you will require some changes in the VCT settings for the best angles for the most power and some really small...
Hey Red
Hey Reddick,
28'' in the rear (15x275x60).
i think my issue is with the launch and maybe the spark on the lower load, i feel like i should bump that up a little.
Time to Revive an old Thread..
so yesterday i finally managed to test my car after my new tvs setup, and yes the 60ft are still awful lol.
my best 60ft was 1.8 and the 1/4 mile was 11.4 ( i'm still running 14 degrees of spark ) and my trap speed was 124 mph.
i was launching around 1100 rpm...
i always love to share because i know one day someone will be in my spot and i might be the one who gives the solution :D.
no dyno yet, i'm taking it very slow i dunno why i'm not even excited for the dyno, maybe because i'm tuning it on my own, but will definitely share the numbers.
the...
well to update anyone who might have the issue.
problem is resolved, throttle is opening up perfectly. just had to do a ton of datalogs and work on the effective throttle area and it's all done.
car is very responsive and even at 50% to 70% pedal it pulls so hard. what is left is to complete...
that i will do perhaps.
so the update is my car won't accept the rewritten file i made yesterday, but my guess is that my effective throttle area is what causing the issues. so i worked that problem out and will give it a go.
UPDATE to REDDICK
the pulley is 79mm
i will check the pulley later on tonight. because when i first got the kit it had a much smaller pulley (69mm) and this is supposed to be the stock pulley (the previous owner was running 19PSI and i still have like 4 different pulleys not installed)
i did make the adjustments for the throttle...
the upper pulley is the stock pulley, my doubt is that my Boost gauge was reading wrong.
i just took the car for a long drive, the jerking is still there and my gas pedal feels so heavy especially between the 2k to 4k rpm. I'm not sure if it's my Throttle although i'm sure my values should be...
Hey Guys,
so finally, i installed my Roush TVS blower, ran into some small problems, like the tune file i was using was corrupted, and when i used a different strategy some paramaters were missing and SCT were super helpful to help me get it fixed.
so finally i started the car and it feels...
Hey Everyone,

Hey guys,
Few months ago I bought a roush tvs blower for my coyote and since I drove the car that the blower was installed on and literally abused it before removing it I had no concerns at all since the car was performed great with no issues.
Today while I was inspecting the kit I noticed a...
i went with a different route with my choice to the Boost Gauge.
i'll be running a snow performance kit so i got the roush gauge pod( the A/C vent one) and i'll be using the gauge to read my boost.
so i have done the following
i changed my AFR from 14.08 to 14.6 since i'm running pure gasoline, it did help getting my idle much smoother.
what's left is the PMAS Cai that is so big which causes some very slight afr play however i think i have progressed very well.
next up is getting rid of...
well honestly i never had the chance to check anything.
basically the s197 won't require any work on the cam angle for idle! i kept working on my fuel trims and.
one other thing that was a bit of a B#tch was the way i was smoothing my idle curve. i was doing it a bit different than the right...
i might get that checked because basically i did everything i even played with the intake cam angle on idle and still i'm having the same thing.
for the 2015-2017 mustangs it's a must to adjust the idle cam angles due to IMRC delete but on the s197 platform i've never seen anything like it...
ever since i installed the 2018 intake I've been having a very strange idle issues. the AFR would jump around from 14.00 to 14.6 and down to 13.5 and i would feel even the car would sound different when this starts, i can notice the exhaust note changes up and feels like it's misfiring.
Lambda...
that's Great!
i'm between projects as i have my supercharger sitting at home, and i'm thinking of selling the kit and going for a single turbo setup.
deep inside me i feel i should stay NA, i like it but i know eventually i'll reach my max potential. even though my current setup if i'm...
Hey Guys,
i wanna replace the Gear Knob for my automatic 2014 GT, but i literally got stuck on how to, i couldn't find any guides how to.
anyone can help me here.
haha sometimes you have to aim higher, and hopefully i'll get there.. since i'm taking the boosted route and i'll be working on the suspension as well.
so maybe it's still possible
