Clutch isn't really an issue.
I've had my share of foxes and SN95 (pushrod), too. I keep hoping to find that stock car in good shape and as reliable as possible. Not sure if that's a pipe dream or not. I certainly like the '11-'14 cars, but I keep running into $16k-$20k for a used car. That's...
Re 2011-14 Coyote cars: What wheel size do they come with, how many quarts of oil and what type of oil? It seems long-term maintenance should be a factor in the decision making. Tires get expensive once you cross the 17-18" thresh hold.
That's good to know. Where did you buy it? From here? Also, why would you put an '03-'04 Cobra ahead of a '11-'14 coyote? And, can quality Termis be had for <$20k?
Lastly, any pics of your beauty?
I was thinking that was a possibility at that price point. Then, the question came to: why not get am '11-'14 if they are at that price point. Yes, I know the termi has a better bottom end and are more collectible, but I'd be fine with the hp range of a stock coyote and I don't care if its a...
I'm not sure what it is yet b/c income may be changing. However, I'm thinking I wouldn't want to go over $15-20k total, all-in for mods (if desired), and everything. That could change later, but just trying to toss a number out.
Goal: something reliable enough to drive whenever and wherever I want, still relevant, would like to make 350-400whp, don't want a project.
Budget: I'm in the research phase of what's out there and what is or is not a good idea.
Except for nitro, which I'd rather stay away from, that looks great!
As far as my budget, I'm not ready to buy yet. This is part of my research so that I can make an informed decision. Although, I certainly appreciate your effort in showing me a great example like that. The car is a beauty.
So, I guess my question in a refined form could be: Can 350-400 whp in a '99-'01 Cobra or Mach 1 be had, within reason, and with reasonable reliability, and if so, upon which platform ought I try to build? Beyond those whp numbers, I really don't care. That range seems to be a good range for a...
