The OG Mats from the factory are also trash IMO. I ordered and installed a set of custom mats for my car to replace the OG mats which are now packed away.
My ‘04 was originally exported to Canada so the Speedometer and Odometer are in kilometers.
I would like to swap out the kilometers speedometer/odometer for one that reads miles, and have the odometer set to retain the current mileage on the car.
How would I go about making the swap?
Here’s my take (I’m probably somewhat biased as I own an original, documented, pristine ‘04 Terminator Vert with just under 1,400 miles on the odo)....
Let’s consider the top tier muscle cars that came out of Detroit in the late 60’s...Boss 429, Shelby Mustang, COPO Camaro, LS6 Chevelle, Ram...
Replaced the factory shifter today with a new MGW shifter with their “comfort” shaft.
Although it’s expensive, it’s definitely a quality piece...and made in the USA.
What a difference! Shifts are now crisp and precise... up and down...through all of the gears. Driving the car is so much more...

My car came to me from Canada where the original owner kept it covered in a temp and humidity controlled environment.
Regarding the installation of the Stifflers components, it’s my understanding that although welding is required, no cutting of the car’s metal is required. It’s also my...
Well stated Bob.
I willingly paid a premium for the car a few months ago because of its ultra low mileage, pristine condition, and no modifications. Although I’d like to keep it in its current like new condition, that means keeping it tucked away in the garage the majority of the time and...
Thanks OldYeller.
If I take the plunge, I’ll go with the same setup as yours. However, I’m having seconds thoughts about it now. My car is 100% original with just 1100 miles on it. I’m concerned that the suspension upgrade, although it will vastly improve the cars’s handling, will detract...
I recently acquired an ultra low mileage all stock 2004 convertible. The car is beautiful, and I love everything about it...except all of the rattles, squeaks, and cowl shaking it does while driving...especially while driving over road imperfections and railroad tracks.
Even though the car is...
