100%, I’ve found if I have room to slide the connector down the wire as to not preshrink it, warming the wire ahead of time helps, then quickly slide the connector down and keep applying heat. Make sure your connector slides easily before you start to warm the wire, don’t want it to hang up...

I love these things. A heat gun works well, I mostly use a butane torch, but use a lot of movement, keep my distance and apply the heat evenly. You can definitely over do it, but once you get the hang on it, you can’t beat the convenience and speed (heat up time) of a torch.

100% I sold my 03 sonic when I purchased my 2020. I purchased another 03 sonic last December. They are such different feels.

Who does everyone use for a tuner? Install is just the plug and play unit, knock sensors, flex fuel sensor and a boost/vac reference, correct?

Holy cow that’s moving on a little 2.3! What did you switch over to? Did you run the 2.3 stock/un-ported as well? Did it feel like it hit as hard once ported or did the power increase on the top end only? Any dyno charts before vs after the port? This is exactly the info I’d love to see. Thanks!

Haha, I picked one up for my old terminator and had to pay dearly for it as they weren’t made anymore. I lucked out and got this one on FB for $125! I’m going to add a vampire too, can’t have too much safety.

I assume to get it to function like the LMP you'd just hook a relay that is normally closed inline with the ignition power wire (#34 red wire on the CP133 connector). You should have a trigger wire on your failsafe that can trip the relay when the AFR drops too low therefore stoping ignition...

Did you wire in the failsafe function?? I almost went this route, but wanted a speedhut style gauge so I found a lean protection module.
