Follow up question: what are the recaros we all have called? As in the actual seat frame model so if I want to I can grab some cloth covers?

This might be my strategy depending on what the shops say. My tears are in the dead center of the seat with the striped textured area so wondering if they can match that and put in a new section.

I reached out to a local shop that seems very good. Im not thrilled that I have to repair the seat but I am a bit interested in seeing what I could do as far as customization with quality leather and cost. I don’t mind the aesthetics so if they can back patch and fill in fine with that as well...

Hello All, I had two pretty serious tears appear out of nowhere in my drivers side recaro. Has anyone has success repairing the leather or getting a satisfactory seat cover to replace? I’ll be looking at some local shops to see about repairing but figured I’d ask the members on here.

when I was commuting in heavy SFL traffic daily it was about 13-14. now I live up in N. GA so half my drive Into Atlanta is country roads with the eventual highway which gives me more around 14-17. it’s pretty good in all honesty

Easy fix: run straight E85

ive only really had rear diff issues which were warrantied but are pretty simple worse case. been pretty good up to 100k

Also reliable. they’re very affordable to fix and run! The trinity is the only “exotic” part and rebuilds aren’t astronomical.

Seems pretty common that the bushings look fine but turn to dust when you pull em for 197s. Wondering if it’s roughly same to just buy new components rather than trying to press out and press in new bushings (or the shop time that would be required).

I’m all OEM. i definitely have a nice clunk when shifting weight or going over uneven surfaces so somethings not right somewhere.

What all are people swapping? LCAs, sway bar bushings, and what else? my biggest pet peeve is a noisy car.
