Looks like a big pushrod V8 tweaked with twin turbos and having a flat plane crank according to their website. They say Nelson Racing Engines made it from the ground up. Modern Chevy big block V8 is the launch pad most likely.

They come with cover rings for road use. Legally can’t come with bead locks on from the factory I guess. Ford will have actual bead locks for them as an accessory.

It may be faster because of the HP advantage but the GT350 is so much better experience on track IMO. The sounds alone are far and above the GT500. Nothing like the flat plane GT350 for sound on track. Shifting with that manual gearbox is more driver engaging than just letting the computer do...
Ford was first to do DOHC and flat plane crank in America. They were the first in the world doing it at 5.2 liters. Europe was doing flat plane crank v8 but in less than 5 liter engines
