I'm looking for a good street tire (UHP) for a 225 hp Fox Body on 16"x7 Pony wheels. Any ideas? I also picked up two spares for street nights at the strip. Drag radials are required. Mickey Thompson has a 255/50-16. Toyo (Proxes) and Nitto NT555 have drag radials in a 16" too. Anyone have...
I'm leaning towards a coyote swap. 302 sbf stuff is drying up little by little. If a shop like VMP no longer supports the older stuff, it's time to move on. I'm going to wait for right now. I don't want to drop $600+ on a kit when that money could go towards a coyote control pack.
Thanks! I'm doing more research before I spend my money. I talked to someone at VMP yesterday and they don't have any tunes for the older cars, OBD I. There's got to be a way to run an OBD II computer and mass air system on the '86-'95 cars.
I'm going to order a mass air conversion kit for my car. My car only has headers and an x-pipe now, but an intake, heads and cam are in it's near future. Any tips or recommendations for this conversion? I was going to order the 55 mm meter kit, but I should probably start off with a 73 mm...
My mechanic installed my Steeda full length sub frame connectors on my '88 GT for $300 labor. I purchased them. You probably don't want to come to the North shore to get your's done.
Thanks! I will. I wasn't crazy about Granite State either. I contacted them a while back about doing a Coyote swap and didn't get a warm shoulder. I'm not sure exactly what I want to do to my '88 GT. I was thinking of a 5.0 Coyote swap or just throw an On3 turbo kit on it and call it a day.
I'll check them out. I was hoping for something a little bit closer, but thanks for the info. Granite State Dyno in Hudson, NH is about 20 miles closer to me.
Any updates? I'm beginning to collect the parts for my 5 lug disc brakes upgrade. I completely forgot about the master cylinder and proportioning valve.
I just picked up an '88 GT hatch auto last week. I'm having it checked out by a mechanic. It's an 30 year old car after all and I'm not a mechanic. I'm researching 5.0 coyote swaps, but if I stick with the original 5.0, TFS 11R 190 56cc heads and an Ed Curtis cam is the hot setup going...
