Just finished my install on my 2008 last night. Couple tips:
Factory strut brace does not fit, even with JLT spacers
With 2.6 or 2.7 pulley, stock lower, stock belt fits with stock idlers. Not a K100852 belt like VMP told me. Now I have a $40 wall ornament.
Use a dremel to clean up coolant...

Man, what a pain in the rear pulling the trans on a lift with a stock clutch.
With the shorter rxt clutch, it went in like butter. Also took the time to install new oem slave, and a KR shifter. 40-50 pumps and it was bled.
Wow, what a difference. Clutch is stiffer, grabs harder. No chatter...

Have an 08 with blower upgrade and want to upgrade clutch. Tousley has the 13-14 clutch and flywheel shipped for right at $600. Interested in what you guys think of stock clutch. RXT is pretty pricy, not interested in daily driving a cera metallic clutch. BTDT
The oem 13-14 clutch appears to be a larger diameter than the 2010 tsb clutch I am running. Any feedback as to how much additional tq it can handle? Killer deal from what I see.
Well, had a trinity w/2.4 pulley and supporting mods last summer. Was pretty ‘Meh’. Removed blower, and got rid of it. Have some $ to play with. Here are my options:
Gen2r VMP new, under $3000
Whip gen 2 2.9 under $3000
KB 2.8 for $3500
Whip gen 3 2.9 for a great deal
Not so sure on vmp gen 3...
