I'm in the process of "burping" the cooling system right now. If there is an air pocket, it's a very small one. I just let it cool for 3 hours with crossover tube open and added maybe 2-3 oz. of coolant. Could an air pocket make it sound like a bad valve or lifter?
Not at all. Consistent tick, tick, tick and increases in speed with rpm's. Sounds like it's coming from the middle of the engine, maybe a little on the driver's side....and it has never done this until after idling without coolant circulating through the motor.
