Thanks. Give me a better hint on the best forum. I’m going to offer carmax 38k on the screw. There moto is no haggle but I agree the truck would have to be flawless for what they are asking and I am already on the fence due to the cheesy bumper and the fact I will eventually end up spending time...
Hello, I have been a GT500 owner for 5 years but this will be my first Raptor. I am looking at a used 13 scab with 68k miles on it for $40,000. It has all the common options. The only thing I don’t like about it is someone removed the oem front bumper and replaced it with an off road n-fab...
A watts link will not replace the UCA but a TA will.
From my understanding wheel hop has to do with soft bushings more than geometry but since a TA replaces two rubber bushings by replacing the UCA then it would help wheel hop indirectly.
The main function of a TA is to control axle torque...
I can't say enough good things about VMP. I just got back from their shop a few hours ago. They put on LT headers and updated the tune. Flawless. Call and talk with Chris Diaz 321-206-9369 x 120. He will be able to tell you if they can do it.
Take a look at VMP performances 820 hp kit. Even if you use different stuff it's a pretty complete package to compare yours against. I did this kit and I have no drivability issues. Car idles and drives around town just like the stock setup (until you step on the gas then it hauls ass)
Hi Ray,
You will more than likely need lca relocation brackets once you lower the car. You will also need an adjustable panhard bar or upgrade to watts link (if you have a non-adjustable panhard the lowering will shift the axle). Before you decide on the UCA I would look at a torque arm. CorteX...
You may want to go with less camber than the GT500 spec calls for if you find you keep replacing front tires because the inside wears out. Understandably the gt500 camber setting is for cornering but you can use less on a daily driver to extend tire life.
As far as the steering shaking if the above recommendations don't turn anything up I did read that some cars ( in sorry but I don't remember the year) need a software update to the electric steering assist. I think the problem presents as a "nibble in the wheel" under hard deceleration. Odds are...
I see what you mean. Other than getting a second opinion I would compare the parts on the right side of the car to the left and just look for something like a cracked bushing or bent metal. Maybe the last guy whacked a curb. I hope you get it figured out. I know how frustrating it is. The good...
By the way your caster is not that far off. You mentioned it was off scale. I think you are refer to the right front TOE not caster. There is a huge amount of adjustment for toe. Just look under your bumper. That big threaded rod connecting to your wheel is the toe adjustment. If they don't have...
