The raxiom is definitely no frills. I was thinking about maybe an old phone running some diagnostics app or something like that displayed on the screen. It doesn't take control away from audio sources and it's a high def screen. I might even do more with that. The stock features are non existent.
It's pretty cool now that I found the code to allow full functionality while in motion. The HDMI mirroring allows whatever is on my phone to be used by the screen. I can have my google maps up, facebook, movies or whatever else. I was thinking of installing a raspberry pi in place and making it...
Right on. I went the Raxiom route. Should be here today. The Gen2 seems to be pretty solid but who knows. My issue with aftermarket is the location and non factory look. Back in the day, I was all about it but with the factory look being so sleek nowadays, I prefer that route over a new head...
I've read good things but has anyone used a different upper mounted nav replacement or upgrade to the Shaker radio with sync? Raxiom seems to be the solution but before I buy I thought I'd ask.
What does everyone think about a high mileage coyote car? Like 100k already on it. I can find those in my budget and still leave room to turbo it right away. Anyone out there pushing the limits like that successfully?
Right. I built my own 2v back in the day and it was a beast. I was also 20 with all the time in the world so there was no labor cost really. $15k will get me a decent higher mileage 2011. $15k would also get me a 2002 with a coyote... maybe. Seems pretty obvious.
Well, I just wanted a project but it's become one of those "well, if I spend a little more, I can get this. I'm already spending this so what's a little more?" and so on. Now we're filling out paperwork and running up credit cards on the internet.
I think I've locked down my mind on a 2011+ 5.0 so thanks to all for the input. This project started as a cash car with a pushrod 302/351 block and now we're heading to the bank. lol. I just noticed my $200 a month blueprint payment on a credit card is done so I can replace that with a car...
Right. I'm willing to pony up for my pony. The last thing I want is to get $20k into a project and wish I had put a little more into the starting point. I am going to take a step back and look at my options. I can get a Coyote pull out with tranny and computer for about 4K and I'm looking at the...
I like the Edge style and I think that's the route I'll go. Maybe an 06 style. I really like the Saleen kit on the Edge cars too. Really aggressive looking.
I absolutely agree. My only issue is that if I do want the Edge model, I'd be hard pressed to find one with the Saleen kit in as good of shape. I guess I could always add it all later. Did it the first go around.
This is true. I found my exact car but 2 years newer and it's a thing of beauty! '02 with a Saleen kit. I totaled mine in the early 2k's but I had 847 rwhp coming out of that one and I loved it. That may be my best bet but its 8k. For 14, I can get a Coyote car.
Right on. I was thinking about dumping my boat. In 2 years my Raptor will be paid off and I can open up the budget some. This went from a cash project to financing a car pretty fast. lol
I wish the brand new one's were less. My god they're beautiful!!
