Also since the discussion has shifted to these cars in general, anyone know where the rainbow extreme '03 Saleen Cobra is at? Last I heard there was an Extreme Rainbow Saleen on Massachusetts plates that had a Terminator hood and cobra bits that popped up on craigslist but I recall the wing had...
Is that the Redfire coupe? I think out of the 6 made there were two... I have pics of #211 from a Saleen Nationals which is the other Redfire car and I know it changed hands recently to an owner in NC who owns a Saleen Fox Coupe and some other stuff. It's around the Saleen Facebook groups sometimes.
Wow! You just brought back a flood of memories. I remember seeing that for sale ad what seems like ages ago now. Looks great! Wonder what ever happened to that car?
Thanks! Will do!
As stated above, I'm interested in seeing some Terminator's that have been resprayed in non factory colors. I have a pretty rough rolling chassis that I picked up cheap and I'm thinking about going the non factory route just to do something different. Along the lines of the '93 cobra's Teal...
650-700 is a lot more enjoyable on the street. As stated above, the torque will throw you back and make you smile with a pullied eaton with with a bigger Twin Screw or something on top with supporting mods, it'll be a fun time but not too much of a handful or pain in the rear to drive on the street.
Yeah man. I posted in a facebook group about this car and it ended up having some stamping indicative of a Saleen on the rear of the frame or something but then called Saleen and they told me the VIN "partially matched" which kinda confused me. Car is long gone now though as part of the deal...
That was my thoughts exactly...
It's possible but the fact the car left the factory as an LX and seems to just had a quick respray and the gt ground effects swap makes me think otherwise perhaps.
Yep as soon as I saw the double VIN plate I knew something was up with this car. But if you know anyone, please do get in touch with them. I'd love to figure out the story behind this car.
Last fall a buddy and I pulled this car out of a local junkyard. We're close with the owner and he knows we're both into mustangs so he called us up and we worked a deal where we could take the car back and pull all the parts we wanted as long as we brought the car back for him to keep the scrap...
As stated above, by the sound of it... it's a good deal at 15-16k. Plus it being a 10th Anniversary car adds a little more "collector" value in my book if the prices on these ever go up like the Mk4 Supra's and stuff. Best of luck! Post some pics up if you do happen to purchase her!
Overall, I would still pull the trigger on a Terminator before I would a Saleen. I believe they are all only 2v cars besides the Saleen Cobra's and the Terminator motor is a 4v with the forged rotating assembly and can compound power a lot easier. Both cars are great. I just feel like you may be...
Might be an old ad... 150k was the price he started at and eventually got down to the 60k range. I haven't seen it pop up on Craigslist which was where I was seeing it all last summer. Maybe someone bought it.
Mark LaMaskin of Performance Autosport is probably the guy to go to on anything...
*Roger's. It's commonly associated with Walker because it was in the AE collection but Paul had nothing to do with the Mustangs or Saleen's from what I have gathered. He was the BMW, Porsche and Audi guy who owned some import cars. People just think it was Walker's due to the current owner just...
There are a few floating around. Good luck getting someone to part with one. Last I can recall, the car in Mass was around 60-75k. Owner is smoking something. Was 100k+ when it was first listed. It was the one was that was heavily modified and posted for sale years ago on here. Got bought by...
