So I do have another question. Should I gap the plugs from .24 to .28? Is there going to be any advantage to doing this? My idle is fine so I was going to leave them but of course I start wondering.
I got back from Bike Week last night and the new Ford coils were waiting on me. I put them on this morning and no more issues!!! Thanks to everyone who gave their input. The coils I removed all appeared to be original and until I made modifications worked prefect. The car has never run so good.
So at .24 the misfire is almost gone but almost wont work so I'm going to order coils and hope that's the answer. Thanks everyone I will keep you posted. I am going on vacation next week so hopefully they get here before than.
Update I put a set of BR7EF in at .28. They are better than the TR6 at .24 but still not prefect. As soon as the car cools off I'll gap them at .24 and see what happens.
So I will try and make this short. I have an 08 with a ton or bolt-on's. 2.6 upper, 15% lower, professionally ported M121, 14 injectors and intercooler, twin 340 fuel pumps, JLT intake, long tube headers with hi flow cats, axle back, Roush intercooler tank, and I'm sure a few other things I...
SCT might be able to give you a stock tune. Also I was a Ford Tech many years ago and we only charged 1 hour labor to flash to the latest factory tune. If you can make small talk with one of the techs at the dealership you can often find one who will do it on the side.
I ran out of room so here are the last pics.
This was easy. I have run the car but not much as I need to datalog for my new tune. I hope this helps anyone thinking about doing the same.
I replaced the pumps in the factory hat assy with Deatschweks kit 9-305-1035. I looked and had not seen much on this so I thought I would post this for anyone else looking to upgrade pumps. I will skip removing and putting the fuel hat in the car. The pumps were exact fit replacements and I...
I just got back from a week at the inlaws and the pumps were here whan I got home. I'm hoping to get them put in today or tomorrow and will know something soon.
I wish I was able to tune for myself. For now I am using Tunes for Life from BAMA. I have a few more things I want to do to my car and once I have everything done I hope to take it to Pro Dyno and have them do some magic.
So I found a good deal on the DeatschWerks kit with 340 LPH pumps and went and ordered it. I will let everyone know how it turns out. Thanks for all the advice.
Good information and I have been leaning toward replacing the pumps in the fuel hat with 265 or 340 pumps. Not sure what my boost is exactly but on my test drive the factory guage would hit 15 psi. Maybe I will get lucky and someone will be upgrading and have a used BAP at a good price.
I have an 08 GT500 with the following mods: 2.6 upper pulley, 15% lower pulley, 65mm TB, ported M122 and inlet, 56lb injectors, JLT cold air intake, 14 intercooler, long tube headers, hi flow catted xpipe, and magnaflo axle back.
I just added the lower pulley, TB, and ported SC. After I drove...
85.2 was to small. I had the tenchener maxed and still could not get the belt on. It was way to small. I ended up going with K100864HD and it fits perfict.
Thanks for the input, I'm not sure if prior owner has changed one of the idler pulleys with a bigger one or what.
So after not getting any feedback I made a few measurements and guessed. The K100864HD was the belt I needed. Putting this up in case anyone else runs into this.
