Final update...
After adding a 2.9 Whipple when there was no Gen 3, engine mods, wheels, tires, suspension and a ton of other things... I had built a beast with darn near 630rwhp on pump gas... the Palm Beach tune was great a WOT and garbage for much else... BMR rear suspension was great at...

The time has come to sell my 2012 Mustang GT Convertible that has been tastefully modified and never taken to the track or beat upon. This car was built to be totally drivable when you want to cruise with the top down and also to be able to stay ahead of pretty much any other car it meets...
Yeah - these belts seem to be very solid in terms of performance... BUT - they also seem to be royal pains in the @$$ to tension correctly. Gates, Whipple, etc all have "slightly" different opinions about it.
The issue is the armird (spelling sucks) core and the utter lack of stretching...

switch - you did the pin rewiring and all right - the D Pad works for navigating the menus?
If so - then I would guess you may need to reprogram the audio control module... take the VIN of the premium that the radio came out of - and make sure the AS-BUILT for that is on the radio...
You may need to update the cluster as-built data to match your car... my cluster came from a manual and i have an auto - and it would not show the select a shift gears until i changed the cluster as built...
AND - I had to keep flashing my stereo with various as built codes to get one that...
nope - step 1 only happens after you have the modified asbuilt file.
And I think they are all .ab - but if you open them in a text editor - they are really just XML.
SO - you edit the file to put the donor module information for the PCM and ABS into your .ab file (replacing your information)...
Yes - you need a 13/14 Vin close to your car in config .auto vs manual and performance pack vs not for brakes.
Now - you can get your VIN on the PCM and ABS - but to do so you need to pull the ASBUILT file for your car and the target VIN car and then edit the XML so your VIN references the other...
@fitforspeed - how big are the rears?
I have some 11x19 F14 Forgestars arriving shortly and I know I can fit a 305/30ZR19 on them but can't find info on if I can fit a 325/30ZR19 on them!
Haven't updated this thread in a while... but have a pile of parts this spring (and a lift in the barn to make it easy)... so I figured I should get back to the thread.
After spending almost all of last summer working with tune revisions via PBD to get the smallest of flutters out of the...
I bought a 2012 wiring diagram book off ebay for my project - there's also this link :
http://iihs.net/fsm/?d=499
It's for a 2012 - but for this project it's fine - since you have to run lines that don't exist to the PCM anyhow.
For Sale : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1968-Ford-Mustang-Coupe-Unicorn-Pride-Parade-Car-4-7-Litre-V8-/122593063870
I know - I violated rules by not putting in a for sale forum... and for not posting a picture of my name with it... I'm hoping these transgressions will be forgiven... (the ebay...
OK - I find this topic interesting - but it's also full of conversations of just numbers and not a lot of consistency and real data to support claims and to compare against. Yelling "My IAT2's are 120*F" is a bit useless if you live in Alaska and the guy you are yelling at lives in Arizona and...
I have never pulled a motor - like the OP - so you just rest the trans on a jackstand too? I would think you would need to be able to manipulate it some when the motor goes back in to align the shaft and bolt holes... no?
Thought about that too - but I would still need to tear into it to do OPG (cheap insurance which is why I'g get a forged rotating anyhow) AND - you need to dink with timing components / phasers / etc so the 11-14 PCM can run the 2015+ engine... so...
