I disagree. I know one guy who has my setup and makes 24psi and close to 800w and he is seeing great temp splits. Max on a 2-3-4 rip was 142 on a hot motor and quickly fell to 124s cruising.
As he has found out he has a bad actuator. Makes a world of a difference.
Thanks for the link, looking through your site I found my car in the background behind ya'll on the left. Thats my car and my uncles friend Paul who still owns the blue Lightning.
First and only thing I've ever found for the 9k miles of tracking he has done. I'll continue to search I'm bound...
They are still quick on track (road course)... many other cars are pretty slow. And if you quote any kind of magazine review shit.... remember they are all shit. Real world use the R's are still very capable against even the new 600+ cars and with the right driver can still hang with a GT350...
It's worth the $700 more to just buy a whole new cell from fuel safe vs trying to change the bladder out. I am also surprised mine is not leaking since it's been through 9k miles of road racing and is now 17yrs old
If you can afford an R you can afford a $3300 fuel cell replacent. I don't have an R but an 03 cobra and my car has had the 00R fuel cell since 04'. My bladder doesn't leak and the foam is still in good condition. I reached out to fuel safe about the need to replace and they said ONLY if the...
Looking to add an 00' R to my ownership to go along with my 12k mile 03 cobra which is a dedicated track car.
Looking for higher milage and/or tracked only R's. Cage is acceptable. Don't mind a higher mileage R either. My intent is to keep the R stock in appearance and add safety items and...
Mine is the same. I took a fine file to take out those little nubs. The alignment on mine is the same. At the end of the day the flow mod is restricted by it's location. It's really the best they can do. Nobody will pay more for a flow mod to be 100% CNC. Although that would be pretty cool...
My car doesn't have AC. However, my normal driving around temps are 178-184. I've only seen it rise to 212-214 during road racing but nothing hotter and that was in 94F heat.
I agree with your comments. I know my biasing is off with my setup. Stock brake lines stock master cylinder and the stoptech 13” st40 front kit and the MM 12.7” wilwood 4 piston rear floating kit. MM told me I can put more rear biasing on the car since the rear can handle much more abuse now...
I've got the KB street cage. It's ok but I think I would prefer a full cage. Oh ya when you have a cage you should also have a 5/6 pt harness and wear a helmet.... otherwise it's not safe. I have the harnesses so I won't be riding up. Luckly the KB street cage is pretty far back and I have...
