I know this is an older thread, but this is the exact issue I have. Sometimes the stock quadrant adjusts itself to the point where the car moves when the clutch pedal is 1/2 inches of the floor. Seems that it doesn't allow you to fully disengage the clutch. If I climb under the dash and force...
Where did you get the polished collar above the boot? I have a MGW shifter with the same style ball shifter, but it just has a nut under the ball and the threads and shaft show under the ball.
Why do most of these blowers hardly have any miles on them. People just decide they don't like the setup or something and get rid of it after only a few miles?
What air filter is the OP using?
Mine does the same thing occasionally since installing the k&n intake many years ago. It’s rare that it happens because I think I’ve adjusted my driving to keep it from happening. I don’t put the clutch in until im pretty close to stopping. If I put the clutch...
Went through a divorce and didn't have a garage or a house for a while. So I did a full detail on it and put it in long term storage in a warehouse. It was started a few times a year just to warm up and get the fluids flowing. Mods are up to date. However, I'm considering porting the...
Got mine out of storage for the first time since October of 18. Did a fluid change, burned through the old gas in the tank and installed 10.5 wheels in the back with 315s. This pic is before wheels. The car has 38k on it now.
Looks good. Your rear tires are kind of an odd size. The 295s are 1.5 inches taller than the stock 275s. The 315s I have are the exact same height as the stock tires.
As far as I know that's the stock camber from last time it was aligned. I just had it on boards on both sides so I can fit the jack under the car. I did notice one of the tires was slightly more worn on the inside. So maybe the camber is off just a little on this side? I'll have to get the...
I was able to fit the tires on without spacers. The passenger side was touching the IRS bolt. So I just ground it down about a 1/4 inch. The driver's side had plenty of space, but I ground down that bolt also just for a piece of mind. I'm a little worried about rubbing. I have stock springs...
Thanks Bob! This is exactly what I need to do. I have been climbing under the dash to adjust it myself like shown in the last step of your modification. I didn't know there was a way to keep it from auto adjusting.
Bob,
I want to thank you for your time and investment with the 03/04 Cobras. I have used your website often over the years since buying mine in 04.
My car did get the most recent revised heads due to the tick. I had them done under warranty back in 05 as my car had a horrible tick. The new...
I know this is an old thread, but I can see you are still active on the site. Do you have any rubbing on either side of the tire and did you roll the fenders?
I haven't looked into the aftermarket blowers yet, but if the prices are really good... I guess now is the time. I have a couple stupid questions..... What is the difference between crusher and non-crusher? And why would a 2.9 be more expensive than the 3.4?
Fueling seems to be a common issue with adding decent HP over stock. My BMW 335 has the same issue now. Fuel pressure drops to almost 1,000 psi right after a shift. Causes the car to go lean for a split second. Only happens occasionally just like the Cobra did.
My N63 engine in my other BMW was just replaced a couple months ago under a prorated warranty at 90k miles. oil consumption and bad compression on one cylinder.
I agree it is in the tune. I also removed the PPRV and installed 255 lph pumps and that didn't really seem to help. I went back to the tuner and they were able to make it much less frequent. I thought they might have solved it 100%, but after putting some more miles on it the car I found that...
