I have, I managed three of the drydockings for the TS Kennedy and the MARAD Port Engineer for that vessel is good friend of mine. Most of my visits to Mass are either to Buzzards Bay, Woods Hole (for NOAA and Oceanographic Institute), and South Boston (drydocks and the cruise ship terminal)...
My background is mechanical and marine engineering with a concentration on nuclear, the first eight years were with A4Ws and S6Gs, so Bubbleheads and Nukes from the start. I am not a licensed mariner, but I have either managed the design, managed the construction, or managed the overhaul/repair...
I am willing to bet fuel filters/RACOR for the generators. Either someone swapped out filters while she was berthed and did not clear any trapped air after the swap, or dirty fuel. I would also check fuel from the settlers and the day tanks.
She has 5 generators onboard with +20K kVA. I am...
I had this issue with the Husky liner for my Explorer cargo area. I used a couple of the 1" x 1" hook and loop squares that have adhesive on the back side, and stuck them to the bottom of the liner. It keeps the liner from moving, and still permits me to remove the liner when I need to.
Visions of Margin Call/ Sam Water's fire sale when all of the other firms realize what is happening come to mind.
Your summary of events starting from Thursday, and referencing the conference calls brought back memories of the 4 AM BoD meeting with John Tuld. Especially the reference to close...
For mobile/traveling requirements, I have two Flips that I pair to cover a larger area. I do not watch much TV, so when I am in hotels, I set up my poor man's surround sound when I am working to stream music. They have worked well for me over the past year or so.
I had the Boombox previously...
I was a temporary resident of Panama City Beach for five years (2013-2018, Pre-Hurricane Michael), and I lived at Marina Landing at the foot of the Hathaway Bridge. PCB was an absolute disaster from May until September. Traffic was terrible, and there were not enough service industry people to...
Crazy small world. I was the General Manager at Gulf Copper - Corpus Christi managing phase maintenance for the MCMs, MHCs, and projects on the Inchon. Was there 1999 through early 2000.
Dont know if you have been back to that part of the world in a while, but you would not recognize the...
The background in this photo makes me think we are one small catalytic event away from reading about you and your family on the internet, or having the video on YouTube. "It was just a normal day in the 72MachOne household, and then....."
Cat condos, domesticated animals about, son hitting the...
1.) I am on the second floor of that brick building (Bldg 620) to the Port Side of the Forrestal. Unfortunately it no longer looks like that as it was refurbished by Aker.
2.) If you look closely, you will see that there is a ramp that runs over from the top of Bldg 620 onto Flight Deck. On...
Between Houston and FL, try Gulfport, Biloxi, or Mobile AL. You can even try Daphne/Fairhope, AL. I love downtown Fairhope. Nice hotels and restaurants.
Between Myrtle Beach and PA, if you were thinking Williamsburg, you are going to have to take some back roads through either Waverly or...
You should check out VICELAND Abandoned Episode 07, Carolina Speedways. Rick goes back to a majority of those old tracks, and there is decent video on there, especially from the drone shots. The series as a whole is really good. Could not understand why it was only a single season because he...
I felt bad for Josh Allen. That look on his face after KC tied the game to force the overtime was what everyone was thinking. He won the game for Buffalo TWICE in the forth and that Defense could not seal the deal. What more do I have to do for you MFers.
Was an epic game though. Buffalo...
I have seen that video, and am very impressed with her catalog of talents.
I was having my coffee this morning when the cooking pan commercial came on and I pulled the

Terrible news, Tob. Sorry that she, your wife, and the family had to experience those losses.
Just let her know her fan club, as Jerry and Elaine stated, are "there for you". She looked great in the commercial, and we look forward to her future roles.

Appears a certain moderator (@Tob) has a SIL who is an actress in addition to a GT500 model/welder:

I was at ACME at Ridley Park, PA this evening and I was shocked at the condition of the store. Last time I was in there was December 6, and it was "normal" then. Now, I thought they may have been closing that ACME down. The produce and meat sections were wiped out. I was just there to pick...
