SOLD. Awesome to meet you Clemente! Hope you enjoy the car as much as I did. Sad to see her go. I can already see why those who sell their Terminators eventually think about buying another one.
Snapped some pics of the FIT setup. I also installed a quick disconnect for a battery tender.
Thanks on the earlier comment on pricing. I have it up for sale locally for a bit more $$ but I figured a forum member might want to ship it, so I wanted to keep overall cost reasonable.
Speaking of forgetting details, I added the Stifflers FIT system to the description. I have the sub frame connectors, stiffening rails and web brace installed. Really took the "convertible" feel out of the car. Tons better than without! Pics when I find them.
I'm selling my Torch Red 10th Anniversary Terminator convertible. 26K Miles. The car is in excellent shape. Looking for $24K.
Mostly stock with a just a few minor modifications:
2.8" JDM pulley with Stiegemeier Stage 8 Port (made 507HP/518TQ at the wheels at Elite Performance here in Denver)...
If you the OP is still looking, I came across a 2004 CO Cobra with 18,800 here in Denver (I always troll Craigslist - you never know). It says it's a twin turbo making 700+ HP. I won't post the link here so it doesn't look like I am trying to sell it but just do a search - guy says he wants...
Looks good. If you do get it, port the blower at some point if you are not going to replace it. I'm running a Steig port with a 2.8 upper/stock lower and making 507/518. If you get that thing breathing right to compliment the other mods, it will be some serious fun!
In terms of price, I hope...
If you want to go with a new brace and offset your cost, I will buy your old one (assuming it is in good shape, which it probably is). I just ported my Eaton and have no plans to replace it. PM me if you are interested. Thanks.
Anti-venom mod was one of the best I did. Started with two washers but that was a bit too loose for me. Settled on one and it feels awesome. You can totally do it with just a jack and a few stands. I struggled for a bit with extensions and stuff so I just made a tool for it from an extra...
I'd like to see a before/after of the bolster if not too much trouble.
I ordered a DVD and replaced the top myself on my old GT. I think it came out pretty good but man, it was a lot of labor. Guys who really know what they're doing make it look easy.
I brought my intercooler and upper intake to a local guy who does diesel particulate filters (apparently they are really expensive to replace). He said his ultrasonic tank was plenty big enough and charged me about $80 bucks to let both parts sit in it for a few hours. Just a suggestion but...
Thanks. I have only driven it a few days but I do notice the difference both low end torque and power in the higher RPM range.
There is more SC whine when I do hit it (fine with me!). It pulls like crazy in every gear (2nd is my favorite because I can enjoy it without speeding too much). I...
It is a dynobob port. He told me the same - no tune required because I was not changing the pulley and therefore the boost level. The port would just make the blower more efficient at moving the air. I got it tuned mainly because I was not happy with the last tune and I also wanted them to...
Port: Steggy Stage 8
Pulley: 2.8 JDM upper
Boost: I don't know.. whatever a stock lower and a 2.8 upper makes!
Compression: ? (starting to feel uninformed)
Ported heads: No
Ported lower: No
Exhaust: Stock Manifolds, Magnaflow w/catted x
Intake: JLT CAI, Ported Accufab throttle body and ported...
Cool thanks for the input on the belt. I'll hang on to the shorter one for a few weeks just to be sure.
On another note, I just got the car back from the tuner. All we get up here at altitude is 91 octane so I think it turned out pretty respectable numbers at 507 RWHP and 518 TQ.
Here are...
I have everything back together and it goes to the shop for a tune and dyno on May 8th. I figured I would put a new belt on since the old one was starting to develop some cracks. I went with the Gates Fleetrunner green belt. Well, four of them actually..o_O
The first one I bought was 74"...
Yeah - for sure typo and probably meant in-lb. I went with 10Nm, about 8 ft-lb The o-rings seal in the coolant, so really all the bolts are doing is seating the coolant manifold to the lower intake and sealing in the boost pressure.
Nice new o-rings and gasket:
Back to the manual - I think...
OK, does 89lb-ft plus 90 degrees seem like A LOT of torque for the coolant lines?
Does anyone else see something wrong with this picture? It's right out of the 2003 shop manual. How does 25 Nm=18lb-ft for the SC to lower intake but 10 Nm=89 lb-ft for the coolant manifold?? I guess I'll...
Some more parts arrived. Holy expensive. I admit, I generally prefer to use factory stuff on factory stuff. I even bought a Ford replacement battery. I ordered a new gasket and new o-rings for the intercooler inlet/outlet and they came in today to the tune of $78. Does this make me an idiot...
Thanks - I was wondering about that being the case. I definitely thought I scraped some gasket material off when I disassembled it. Maybe I did not take enough pics or I am just getting old and imagining it. One end did have some gray RTV on it but I thought maybe Ford put a few dabs on areas...
Yeah, Stage 8 - sounds impressive, right? No port before, although my tuner thought there would be due to the accufab single blade. Here are a few more pics. I'm hunting for the SC to Intercooler gasket but it's not listed anywhere. I even went to the Ford dealer and they have no record of...
