Hoping to hit the easy button on this question.

I want to data log my Innovate DLG1 dual wide band o2 gauge. I did recently, but only in a voltage, which means nothing without knowing how to convert it. I'm using live link 2 and when I had a single AEM everything was great (just click AEM), but now not sure which to pic for the conversion...

    What would you do?

I have a car that runs great hot, well after 2-5 minutes . It will stall when braking any time before that. A 2000 mustang GT and I'm thinking the hydro boost brakes create just enough draw on the power steering pump to stall the engine. I don't believe this car has a switch to add rpm for that...

What is the best sparkplug to run in a supercharged 2v modular engine?

My car has been through more plugs than should be needed. It isn't easy to change them either. Not the end of the world as far as hard but it involves removing the fuel rails and the mess that comes with that. I have run the NGK tr6 not sure what else and I don't like them. These copper core...

Is there a formula to base supercharger cfm at a rpm to dictate recirulating or blow off sizing?

My issue to the best of my knowledge started with changing the clutch. I went with a lightweight twin disc set up 10 inches. I didn't think about it at the time, but the car now seems to need a higher rpm to idle cold. The flywheel is aluminum and always was, but I'm sure the clutch and...

Blow through or draw through Mass Air Flow sensor location?

I have a car that was draw through at one time. Someone changed it to blow through, I have been working at getting it better. No luck there and thinking about trying to go back to a draw through MAF location. This is a built engine and long tube headers making over 12 psi with a D1SC. My issues...

    chasing my tail.

Today I got things working pretty good. I would need to pull spark plugs to confirm the tune is going right. I'm working on a car that I believe has one or more bad cylinders. This is causing a misfire causing a lean wideband reading when it is really to rich for the bad cylinders. With new...

What should I tune my car with?

I've been messing around with SCT, but it seems to be to problematic aside from the need to flash every single change.

I'm not geting changes when messing with the MAF transfer function.

I've done this in the past and maybe the closed loop helped ?, but I'm really starting to wonder if the ecu is ignoring the MAF, but not setting a check engine light for it. The adjustments to the MAF transfer function usually seemed to do something, but nothing you really expect, and it was in...

What should I use to seal my headers?

I have Kooks long tube headers on my car. The collector is just slipped over the individual tubes. If they were welded you wouldn't be able to remove them from the car. I think they leak to some degree... not sure how that is effecting O2 readings. If welding is not an option what else is...

How does a dyno give results that are not possible?

A lot of us want dyno numbers, but what do they really mean... The car I have put 600 to the rear wheels, yet I doubt the clutch or the tires could have in in real life. So that is the question "how can you put down more on the dyno than possible in reality.

Why are my corrections never what they should be?

It should be so simple... I'm getting 10.5 on the wideband , so I take actual and divide it by commanded to get the correction factor. Lets say we need to multiply by .70 to bring it in, but a correction like that might only get me to 11.5 from 10.5 when it as suppose to get me to 14.2 . I'm...

How far off should a MAF transfer function be, before you suspect the injector data is not correct?

I'm working on tuning my car. I cheeped out on injectors, and now more than ever might be regretting it. Bought 80# injectors off EBay with no data sheet, so I'm using the Ford Racing data in the tune. The ones I bought look like Siemens knockoffs, which look I the style Ford racing uses, but...

    brake nightmare

I have a 2000 Mustang GT. It has been modified heavily. It is using Advantage iii tuning. Traction control was always written off as long as I owned this car, don't know what program it was tuned with at that point. I was converting my brakes to Cobra and replacing the hoses to stainless braided...

Is a cobra and a cobra R brake rotor the same?

I have a 2000 GT and I'm upgrading to Cobra brakes. It is my understanding the regular Cobra brakes bolt right on. Is this true of 2000 cobra R brakes as well? Was the Cobra R the same rotor as the cobra, just a 4 piston Brembo caliper that could bolt to any new edge spindle?

Im getting totally lost on the direction to go.

I have a Procharged mustang. It has idle issues do to I think a small recirculating valve. The IAC shouldn't be fed by the supercharger, but you lose boost unless you have some sort of check valve. This seems to me that it would only work well in a draw through configuration. In a blow through...

How should I tune around a compressor surge?

I don't recall seeing the problem with the ba3000 and a screen, but I might not have done the same thing. Now I have a ba5000 in a 3 inch housing and the MAF add counts fluctuate by 100 when letting off or holding a steady rpm at least into the 2000 rpm range. This seems to richen the engine...

How possible is a hybid fuel system in a 2000 mustang?

I'm wondering if I should stay pulse width modulation and have a regulator and return line as well to eliminate spikes, but also to reduce the amount of fuel being circulated. In this situation I would use the original fuel line to return the fuel and I have a -8an line ran next to it. With the...

    Tuning Ford returnless fuel system

I'm working on a new tune. The car has twin 450 lph fuel pumps. I can't select these as an option in Advantage 3 software. The fuel pressure is wicked erratic and wonder if anyone has built a table that gets them working right. I have way to much fuel pressure at idle and not enough when revving...

Idle Air Control (IAC) air supply.

I'm reworking a car. Greg Banish says the air supply to the IAC should not be on the boost side of a supercharger. There is a little box between the feed and the IAC, I don't know what it's purpose is. The issue is if the car is blow through (MAF location) the IAC is then taking in unmetered...

    T56 acting up.

I have a Mustang with a T56 installed. I assume it was used [when installed] so miles unknown. The issue is the second gear downshift at times. I don't recall the issue before the fluid was changed. The fluid was nasty looking. The trans said on it to use Dextron 3, so I did. I'll have to see...

Why are the fuelpump wires twisted pair and shieled ?

I'm adding a second FPMD and new wires to the second fuel pump. When I looked at the new plug I can see the wires were twisted pair and shielded. Is this necessary? Did they do it for the radio or for the fuel pumps? Without cutting my harness apart I have no idea how far they run twisted and...

VE formula for load as interpreted by the ecu

What is the formula Ford Uses to determine VE as in "load". I have a formula that might be right, but it doesn't specify what units are measured in. I tried some different ways, but it never comes out right with a data log of load and ad counts.

blow through or draw through MAF

I have a BA3000 placed blow through. I think the car was draw through at one time. Everyone seems to think blow through is the way to go with a procharger. The BA5000 in a 3 inch tube is only good for around 600 wheel hp. So I'm at the point that I change everything to get the BA5000 into a 4...

    Twin 450 lph fuel pumps

I was wondering if anyone is running twin Walbro 450 fuel pumps in the 03 Cobra tank, and if so what fuel hat works well? I might modify my stock Cobra hat, but I would buy on that would work. most don't look like they have enough room between the pumps, but that might be deceptive. I never...

    fuel line options

I was wondering if anyone is using the charcoal canister line as a fuel line? And possibly then using the existing 5/16 fuel line as a return line. I think one could run a new line or hose next to it . Is it possible to just eliminate the canister?
