They have to deflate the tire, pop the bead and install the tpms sensor. They should be able to do this w/o removing the tire. Essentially all they're doing is adding the sensor on the back of the valve stem (yes, they're swapping the entire stem with a new one that has the sensor attached)...
Sorry folks, I was referring to a "normal" stone chip, 1/8" across or less. I agree that a 2" chip is not going to be easily fixed. when I said shoot the whole panel, I was referring to that being the only way to make a 2" chip look good.

I bought 2 different brands of pq and blended them to get a color match. Took a few tries but eventually I ended up mixing about 1/3 to 2/3 of a touch up bottle to get it right. I still can't wrap my head around why paint shops need to blend into other panels. Mix it right to match and leave...
305/30 and 255/35 have 3.6" and 3.5" sidewall respectively...they should look the same on the wheel? If it's the gap between tire and fender that's throwing you off, what about lowering the rear?
