I have marked-up the attached picture to clarify the area of concern. And thank you for the suggestion, I will post in those other areas/sites as well.

Good morning.... I am referring to what would be the water channel, if you enlarge the picture slightly you will see the machined/polished area and them some areas of wear/delaminating.
