yeah car back halves the qtr at 34+ mph at 150-151. doesn't hit 4th gear till around 156-157(2.73 rear gear) new engine will see 500 more rpm and make a 150-200 more rwhp mathematically car should go 206+ with no head wind lol.
Nice the Texas mile is a goal of mine- been to and ran many half mile events, at 179 and change, maybe next falls race, new engine will be done for spring but will need at least a bolt in 6 point and racing seat and harness to pass tech.
15-17 eco boost 6r80 swap with complete factory pcm- should be fairly eco. swap- tuned and bolt ons should be good for 400 rwhp. and that 6a would make cruising fun. buy a complete total donor car and probably keep the ac and make it work with the 85 factory .

i run breathers open air and have never had a issue on 3 different engines- something is wrong, no smell when the heat is on, some oil residue on the under side of the hood at the end of a summer , but wipes right off with a mild cleaner and a towel.
Nice- Do you think the new wheels were worth a .tenth? Or at least a mph. Didn't you mention in another post you don't fully remove the T.C. - makes sense on a non D.R.
lucky that patch cut out wasn't like 20 foot long you would probably busted up the front end splitter/ body work - nothing underneath got messed up? And love the new wheel selection.
Very nice build - what made you go with a gen 3 5.2 over the gen 2 5.2- is it worth the $ 900 extra for the block ? I assume your running the stock converter unlocked, cant believe the stock one would hold lock up at those numbers. (well at least not for long) Again awesome build.
Awesome build- when you were dyno testing the car you stated 5th gear , most 6r80 cars get dynoed in 4th gear. or less depending on the rear gear of the car. (mine gets dynoed in 3rd)

Does the factory 5.2(g3) come with a finished, deck, bore hone and crank hone adequate to assemble from the factory or did you have these squared and checked? if good to-go saves a ton of $ at the machine shop and time.
