My car makes 1100 on low boost 22-23lbs and over 1400 on 28-30lbs. That car was slow for what it should be. I did 60-170 in 7.01 seconds pedaling it at slipstream a couple weeks ago at 22psi.
That 4.5 whipple must be on very low boost or something. I have a 4.5 on my car and it pulls WAY harder then that. That viper is in another league though
I wanted to go turbo before I did this blower and I'm really thinking hard about it now. The sleeves are the Darton Flanged sleeves so I'm really hoping it just lifted a head.
Innovators west. The only time I planned to turn that rpm would be in the 1/2 mile races. The engine is almost out. I let it drain out over night into a bucket and got almost 4 gallons of oil/water mix.
After this I should be pretty good at dropping the engine lol. I'm hoping it's just a head gasket. I don't think it was hurt from the pull it made 34psi because I changed the oil the day I took it to be dyno'd and the oil was clean as could be. While it's out I'm getting the intercooler mod done...
MPR did the work but we won't know what happened until it's tore down. It could of been tune related and the first pull after break in it made like 34-36psi so I had to change the 3.25 pulley out to a 3.75 to lower boost. There's coolant in the oil only. I'm gonna do some changes while it's out...
Can't get the picture to post. It made 1166@5700rpm so far but it looks like the motor will be coming back out. After the last pull we did last night we let the car cool down and noticed steam coming from the intake. Pulled dipstick and theres coolant in the oil. Seems I can't catch a break.
Somewhat of an update. Put it on the dyno last night and made a few pulls. AFR was getting pretty high and it was breaking up so we never got to do a full pull. So far it's made

IAT's we're going over 200 at 5500rpm so I put a larger 12 gallon trunk tank in with a rule 3700 pump. I'm going to use the left over 20v boost a pump on the rule and see if that can keep it cool. I have a Stewart EMP that I might run up front if needed. Also running 1" lines. I should have all...
The engine has a billet crank in it for that reason so I shouldn't have any problems like that. I'll probably ending going turbo more than likely but I wanted to see what a 4.5 could do on an engine built to take it first.
