Add me to the list of "not so happy" RXT owners. Pedal feel is real good and smooth but it's annoying that it chatters/shakes the car so much when starting if you don't hit it just right. It holds power well (I'm only at 530rwhp) so I expect it to last me a good while but I wouldn't consider...
Married 16 1/2 years now and found out she can't get pregnant many years ago for various reasons. Ended up getting a partial hysterectomy coming up on 3 years ago at the end of this month. It still hurts her that she can't have kids but being pain free from that possessed uterus has improved her...
I installed the ProChamber cut n clamp on my stock X and it sounds really good with the KR mufflers. If I don't end up selling the car soon, I'll probably do some LTs with high cats to continue using the ProChamber.
Add another to that list. Went with the RXT based on recommendations from this forum and it's been noisy and chatters as much as the stock clutch on my '08 though it does hold the power very well. It's really annoying hearing it chatter and feeling the car shake at the same time...looks like I...
Stock wheels? If not, what size do you currently have?
I have 20x10 on the rear of my '08 and 305x30s fit and mine is lowered so I had a bit of rubbing on the passenger side fender lip. 315s might fit with the right offset wheels but then I'm not sure how close they'll be to the shocks.
That is the exact gear kit I had installed originally by a guy that's been doing gears for 20 years. I've been in several of the cars he has done before. I had another shop do the other sets and still the same. This rear is just cursed.
I didn't even think about the stock '13-14 clutch as an option! Obviously it's meant to hold quite a bit of power and I don't intend on going much more than LTs with a 10% OD lower (on top of what I already have) so that clutch would have been fine. Oh well...maybe next time around!
Stop upper...
Kinda figuring it's just normal and maybe I should have gone with the RST instead since I don't race, just mess around on the street. Oh well...maybe next time if I keep it long enough.
Gonna have to check more stuff to figure out the weird noise from the trans but will check the cross member...
The stock clutch chattered/shuddered in my '08 quite often up until it finally started slipping and had to be replaced at 27k miles. I checked the VIN and he did have the original clutch and trans replaced under the TSB. He got rid of the car in '15 and only had around 6k miles on it when I...
Not sure about your budget but have you ever considered air ride?
I've got Bilstein non-adjustables with FRPP springs (lowered about 1 1/4") and the ride can be really rough sometimes, mainly because our roads are so shitty. A friend of mine with a '10 GT500 installed an air ride kit and the...
Is there really much more power benefit going with LTs and catted H over just replacing the stock mid pipe with a good catted mid like Stainless works?
After seeing my dyno numbers (530whp/466tq) compared to several others with similar mods but much better torque numbers, I'm certainly missing...
Didn't think you were...was just making light of your post about people not posting the brand name.
Not hurt at all by it. The wheel style and color isn't for everybody and especially Shelby owners it seems. Don't care because it's what I like and many non-owners seem to love :)
What if I want to keep them a secret so nobody else gets them and mine stays unique? I can at least say they're 20x9 front with 255/35 and 20x10 rear with 285/35 tires Bridgestones. Pole Position S04 front and RE-71R rear.
;)
Made it to 27k before it started slipping bad enough to be replaced. Replaced it with the RXT and while it's a big improvement, it still chatters like a mf.
I've got the FRPP springs with Bilsteins up front and FRPP shocks in the rear on my '08 convertible.
Would these give a better ride overall? The biggest complaint I have with mine right now is I feel just about everything on the road and it's getting pretty old. I figured a good set of coil...
Would go straight NC after the second time. If I was single, I wouldn't have the patience to deal with that kind of bullshit. If you're arguing enough for this to even be a topic of discussion then it sounds like you're wasting your time with her.
Time to move on.
