Another option is a Boss 302 short block. Just installed one in my car. The pistons are the weak link in the S550 short block. The Boss has forged pistons.

I start in 2nd gear on the street. OTOH nothing hooks very well on the street. It all depends on the surface of asphalt. Concrete is much better.

There is a big difference in a twin screw and a TVS. Twin screw, Whipple, requires a higher stall converter. A TVS, Roush or VMP, does not.

My last two tanks of E85 tested E90.

I too run them with a .028" gap. 79mm E85.

It is pretty easy to adapt a manual only radiator for use with an automatic. I wonder how it would work with a Roush intercooler clearance wise.

I run a 160 in my car. Might as well run the stock one. The radiator is the problem with these cars. It is way too small. A Ford Racing fan will help I guess as it moves a lot more air.

I get about 25mpg with my Roush at a 70mph cruise. E85 drops that to 15mpg.
