I know this thread is legit 12 years old lol, but what is the support bracket bolted to on the engine side? I can't really tell what I'm looking at in this pic. Is it the lower left alternator bolt?
Second, I'm assuming you deleted the ABS module? My passenger wastegate isn't even close to...
I am going to have this harness up for grabs here in the next couple weeks. Works perfectly now that I got my vac leaks fixed. Just going Holley. Made 320whp with these and bolt ons.
They are definitely one of the best bangs for the buck IMO. It's not the fastest thing in the world, but it has surprised some people on the street. Everyone assumes a convertible is slow.
I actually went from a Team Z to a BMR. I had fitment issues with the Team Z so basically gave it away to a local guy that was going to mod it.
Spring perches was never really important to me. Coilovers are definitely the way to go.
Would be cool to get a list together. I'm on BMR standard K, MM solid motor mounts and Bassani mids. Tight fit, but everything fits. Going turbo here this winter so will be interesting to see how everything fits.
It ended up being a combination of a throttle body with a set screw that had been messed with, vacuum leak and / or a TPS. Car runs great now with that CAI and made 318rwhp on the dyno
One thing I found interesting on Accufabs TB instructions for these cars was that if the set screw had been messed with whatsoever to have it sent back to Accufab for recalibration. I knew I had messed with my stock TB set screw so I found a different TB that hadn't been touched. Not sure if...
I am running a TB from a 96-98 without the hole. I know which one you're referring to. You need the TB that matches whatever lid you're running so if 96-98 lid like me you need a 96-98 TB. Had a buddy running a 96-98 lid and had idle issues with a C head TB. He swapped to a 96-98 TB and...
It was a combination of a couple things. I had a big vacuum leak on the intake lid adapter. I also got a known working throttle body and a new Motorcraft TPS. Car runs great now and made 318whp on dyno
Don't have one, just sharing my results. I know a lot of folks like to compare dyno numbers so this is another data point.
My tuner mentioned that I'm probably only losing a couple hp to LT's on this NA setup. He said once you start adding a power adder that will change, but for now I don't...
Bringing an old thread back from the dead, but had the car dyno tuned last week on some Bassani Mid Lengths and x pipe. I'm happy with the results given the lower compression pistons:

I think my issue is because I was using allen head screws vs button cap screws to bolt the adapter to the lower intake. Even though It didn't appear that any of the allen head screws were in the path of the gasket / lid it's very possible some were. I just swapped over to button head screws...
Did you have any issues sealing yours? I have been troubleshooting some issues on my car and this plate is leaking in probably 4 different spots? Probably going to have to use some gasket maker to seal up the voids.
Update: I think it's actually the gauge itself and not my wiring :) Wired the gauge directly to the battery for power and ground and it does exactly the same thing. AEM has been great and answered the phone on the first try. Sending them a few purchase confirmation details and their sending me...
Anyone in here running an AEM wideband (30-0300 part number) with the SCT analog input cable (SCL-9608) successfully? I am having some issues getting mine to work. Here is how I have it wired:
AEM side
-Red to number 8 fuse via an add a fuse
-Black to ground (crimped together with the 3...
Nope, same JLT CAI.
Went to a pals house over the weekend and even with him forgetting to plug a nipple on his intake lid his car still ran and idled albeit really high at like 2k. I can't even get mine to do that :)
I've started doing some other troubleshooting and I'm just not finding any...
