Well aware, however, the rising tide does lift all boats. Many of the $100K+ cars are going to collections to where they will not likely sell again soon. As such, the amount of "available" cars will shrink, further assisting in increasing the values of "lesser desirable" cars.
00R owners, a poll question, if you will. Hypothetically, if you were offered to trade a 10K plus mile 00R straight across for a Detomaso Pantera, how would you react? I understand the devil is in the details, but let's just say the Pantera is well maintained, mostly original '73. If anyone...
I've got a 1980 911 presently, but boy, I'd love a turbo. The 930s are pretty much out of reach at this point. However, a 996TT is still a decent buy. One can dream.
My wife used to joke that we won't sell our 00R until it's value was over $200K. I should start cleaning it up!:)
Interestingly enough, these two are currently available on Ebay...
I actually visited their facility in Redmond, OR and spoke with one of their reps. As this was a few years ago, it may be worth calling Pyrotect directly, if anyone is interested.
I'll add that everyone I spoke with there is about as stand up as possible. They've got a really great crew...
Last I checked with Pyrotect, they offered a replacement bladder for $1000-$1200, I believe. Fuel Safe made the original cells and they offer a replacement for almost double what Pyrotect offers. From my understanding the owner of Pyrotect owned Fuel Safe and had a non-compete in place as a...
EVERY Maximum Motorsports piece , Torsen T2R, 6 piston Wilwoods, a very well built, Dart 363, road race T-5 and about 2800 lbs. I cannot wait to drive it again!!
Came across this after watching Doug DeMuro's recent YouTube review of the 00R. Anyone want to hazard a guess on selling price?

So, ya...I bought it! I was looking to get back into auto-x, track days, etc anyhow. The gentleman who has been taking care of it the past few years is a super stand up guy. Pretty blown away how the deal came together.
That is sound advice, right there. My wife and I have been discussing exactly that. His initial ask is reasonable, but certainly not "gotta have". Respectfully, I don't won't to low ball him in an effort to not minimize his contributions to the car.
What is so weird is I had NO idea that I wanted it back until I saw it again. I am really interested in autocrossing again and doing the occasional track day and time attack events, but I won't do so in either of the two cars we currently have. This is such a stupid "first world" problem to...
