Yes, after a 5 month hiatus I did the final test ride today and my car is back and it feels good... While re-assembling I added:
Kooks Headers and x-pipe
MGW shifter
CF Driveshaft
APR Canards
AIRAID Filter
Steeda Spring
and doing a 3M printed CF roofwrap this weekend
I got to push it a little...
Having owned a M3 and Boxsters, Porsche and BMW program the transmissions differently...
In a Porsche, when you come to a red light and then release the brake pedal, the car will engage the transmission and crawl forward. If on a hill, it will sit with brake on.
In a BMW, when you release the...
What are you guys torqueing header bolts to? Anyone use Stage 8 locking bolts and do you apply anti-seize?
I've watched a few youtubes looking for torque spec and not found any. What I learned is it's a PIA and so glad the motor is out of the car for this. I'm already in love with the R...
I've been conspicuously quiet for a reason... There was a incident at COTA where I was chasing a very modified GT350 around the track and while he gave me the pass, I was just having fun so I hung out on his tail for another lap. My car, with the newly installed camber plates, the new plus...
I took the Carbon wheels to Discount tire to replace the sport cup 2's where they put their best man on the job... I only looked at the rims when I picked them up and did not immediately notice they mounted the 315's on the front and 305's on the rears.
Getting ready to run COTA this Sunday, I...
I know there's been some discussion on tramlining and I put a set of hankook all season street tires on the R for daily type use and they reduce the craziness by 90%. It's pretty normal now.
I agree with the discussion at discount tire website that tires have the most direct influence on...
Just finished Camber plate install, love them. The Vorshlag's have two caster settings and I choose the more aggressive and it seems to have perfected the weight of the steering input and the wheel pops back to neutral extremely nicely. There is no rubber on the seat, and while subtle I think...
Wondering who has replaced their stock pads for track use and what pads people recommend? I am pretty happy with stock pads and don't want to chew up rotors too much, but if there is a pad that will give me a little less fade or more bite I'd like to give it a try.
At some point I read the struts on our cars have oblong bolt holes and this contributes to camber adjustability. Anybody know for certain one way or the other on this?
On my '16 GT350 I asked the dealer to set the track alignment before delivery and they could only got -.5 on the driver side...
I drove the first 500 miles thinking how stiff the suspension was compared to my 16 Tech car and then saw a youtube video where two guys bought as used R with 950 miles on it and found the shipping spacers still installed... they joked about the guy who owned it and did not know and then on...
I'm ordering forgestar CF10's to put the MPSC2's on since you can't really drive the SC2's daily and they need to be protected from freezing...
I am ordering:
19x11 et24 for the front (I think this is the R dimension)
19x11 et62 for the rear (stock GT350)
I am told these weigh in at 25.5lbs...
Finally got a roundtuit and installed the cooler kit from Levittown and I wanted to share pics and plug Dominion and Total Proformance, LLC for fabrication and overall expertise. The Levittown kit assumes a transmission swap is done and supplies all the HW minus the transmission with one...
How big of an issue is cooling when tracking a Tech GT350? I wanted the sync3 and seats in the tech pack slightly more than the cooling and Recaros...
In the Road and Track 2016 performance car of the year review after crowning the GT350 winner, they mention it ran hot and it's not clear...
Anyone know if the car an be aligned to the alignment specs listed on the card with the manuals? I took a pic of the attachment in the alignment thread and sent it to my dealer before pick-up and the head mechanic said the camber could not be adjusted that far so I asked for him to put the car...
I have driven several other recent model cars and I fell in love with rev matching downshifts, really makes track use much easier and faster. I assumed my new GT350 would do this and even read some reviews that mentioned it, but it is not a option I can find. Seems so easy to implement in the...
I was surprised to find out my tech package car did not have a shaker sub in the trunk... I guess to save weight, but I assumed it was part of the sound system labeled "shaker"; unfortunately nothing shakes.
Also, I was surprised my sync 3 system does not include the HD radio. My old 14 GT500...
