Gold bars are worth less than lumps of coal as a function of utility. Gold is merely another form of tokenized money. They key difference from any governmental fiat currency (whether Dollars, Marks, Yen etc) is that supply is limited, and market price is not government controlled. Bitcoin is...
Outside car nuts people don’t know what model Ferrari they’re looking at but they know it’s special. It’s the same with a GT350R, trust me.
FP has put the marketing dollars into R&D and engineers. It’s a strategic choice and they’ve been KILLING it, with vehicles that the resale market proves...
Shit like this thread makes me feel old :p
(We have a 2YO so this is still pretty fresh, but my car guy response to a “gender reveal party” would’ve been along the lines of “have important things to do like pick the dust out of my ac vents”)
Correct. Rich people tax breaks. It depends on whether it’s an individual or joint filing but it’s within the realm of income you can reasonably buy a million dollar home without a very very large down payment. (2-3x gross income purchase price)
It’s also at risk for going away within the...
Monte Carlo analysis on $30,000 in total market investment (while US stock market 75%/25% bonds, 0.18% fees) for 5 years. LOTS of outcomes lead to well under $30,000, or investment loss over a 5yr period. And this doesn’t include behavioral finance or tax effects (likely to make returns worse)
It beats the analysis because y’all never include the downside risk from market volatility, or beta, only the alpha is ever shown. Paying off debt always has no beta. It’s perfectly risk free.
Math aside- When I meet a rich person that tells me they got rich due to car debt, I might start...
I have no idea what you’re getting at. LSs had big ADMs and the GT500 did most of production run too.
If your point is they might have sold less GT350Rs if a new GT500 was out, maybe. I don’t care enough to go look up prod numbers and compare.
There is a market for both. I personally...
Ford has had a GT350 (by another name) and a GT500 for sale at the same time and they both did well. There are buyers for both. How many wanted an IRS GT500 vs a GT350, we will find out if/when the next GT500 drops.
I’d there’s something this subforum likes to argue about it’s what the value of these cars is and whether or not owners should try to make them GT500s :D
Because I wanted the most pure, visceral driving experience this side of $100,000. I couldn’t care less about 5 seconds or whatever by a pro driver on the Nordschleife.
(I despise the new Camaro interior and greenhouse too)
