Not sure why this is so impressive, this sort of thing has been around for years - just from GM instead of Ford. Ford finally made a large displacement V8 that is worth a shit. Unfortunately normally aspirated motors suffer from the same issues at altitude and there is no replacement for a...
Anyone got any stock springs they want to part with? I just need rears, but will take all 4. I posted in the market also, just trying to get more visibility.
anyone else out there? I found a set of fronts, but I still need rears if anyone has any. Got jacked by a junyard, fronts were good, but some moron cut the rears.
yes - return style... base pressure is about 39 psi, idle or key on. Pressure rises perfectly with boost with the boost reference going to the regulator. At WOT, in boost it immediately goes to 55-60 psi... all seems good there.
Honestly I think I let it sit too long and its all gummed up...
I think I'm just going to pull the injectors, tank, pump, filter. New filter, pumps, and get the injectors serviced. Its been 8-9 years at this point. This is an E85 car, so probably time to clean it all out anyway.
I haven't driven the car in a long time and seemed fine, also put fresh fuel in... However in doing a WOT pull, fuel pressure is steady at 55+psi and the higher the boost gets the leaner I go. I know I need to replace my fuel filter, but I am thinking injectors.
Thoughts?
I got one in perfect condition including stock pulley. Had about 42K on it when I put whipple on it. Its been wrapped up in a plastic bag in my storage room for many years. How much are you willing to pay for it? Freight would be on you, paid/arranged etc... I would just box it up safely and...
OK fixed the deltap tables and loaded the new tune. Heat soaked the crap out of it, brought it back home, let it sit for about 6-7 minutes, let the prime run for 10 seconds and what do ya know..... starts right up like a dream come true.
Decipha - your the shizzle man!
I'll definitely check it out. Let me ask you this then... do you think its possible for the ECU to accept input from an ethanol sensor to adjust the stoich setting automatically - (true flex fuel)?
Do you mind sharing how you adjusted the pump prime? Also wondering if you can adjust based on rail temp. If it’s cold, don’t need long prime.
I’m familiar with hex and binary editors. Is that what your using?
Does this look correct? My only concern is that I can't add rows to maintain the same values and granularity in the function. These are pretty close to perfect linear equations. So perhaps I just calculate the slope values for 128 and 0 and insert those to complete the linear function?
