My engine builder doesn't want me to re-use the stock oil cooler as it can't be cleaned out properly and he doesn't want crud breaking free into his freshly rebuilt engine. But it looks like OEM coolers are unavailable now thru the dealer and in various places I'm searching on the internet...
It is bone stock with 11K miles and a very loud tick coming from the driver's side/back-ish part of the engine. The tick is louder when cold but never goes away. The engine runs great and seems to have plenty of power--it's mostly just annoying and embarrassing. So I took it to a recommended...
OK, I'm not really into mods, so I don't have much to contribute in that respect. I have older Mustangs that I work on, but I wanted a "new" car that I could just wax, change the oil, and drive w/o having issues--enter the "new" Cobra. So I found some threads about this Liquid Glass stuff over...
My "new" Cobra has really hideous, aftermarket wipers on it and it's starting to rain here in Oregon (big surprise!). What did the stock ones looks like? Can I still get them (the whole assemblies) and then just replace the blades?
Never heard of such a thing--super cool! It came with a book and an unopened packet of driving music CDs and a case. Does anyone else have this stuff? I bought a new Mach in '04 and none of this stuff came with the car.
I'm not competent to swap the heads and to do the cooling mod myself on my '04...or even to properly diagnose the loud tick that my car has. Any recommendations for a mechanic I can trust to work on my Terminator?
Thanks.
I've been doing a lot of tire thread reading and there is a lot of talk about wider tires and switching to 18" wheels, etc. I'm old school, tho, and I like the taller sidewall look rather than the rubber band look I think my car has. My Cobra has the stock 17" wheels and the original tires...
It was a local, one-owner car. Would the dealer have a code for the key on file maybe after 10 years? How do I get these off w/o destroying them? I'd really just like a new key, lol...
Just bought a Mystichrome Coupe and there is no spare--no nothing under the trunk mat! It has the 10-year-old tires in it still and I'm not digging having nothing to change a tire. The car is bone-stock, so I'd like to pick up what should've been there originally. Thanks!
