Depending on where you take your car for an alignment, some shops will put a little more camber in the front end for a "sport" handling. A good question would be, how many miles are you putting on the tires before you are noticing the uneven wear?
Edit: I have my car realigned at a min of 6...
Just installed the GT500 diff cover this past monday, with the relocated axle vent. LMR has a deal with a lubelocker gasket that worked really well. make sure you plug the axle tube hole. I had to go to 5 different stores to find the right bolt/plug 7/16-20 X 3/4" fine thread.
In case anyone wants to know, Its a 7/16-20 bolt, ideally you need a 1/2" long. But that is hard to find. 3/4", couple washers, and some RTV will do the job.
Would anyone happen to know what size the axle tube vent plug would be? I didn't get one shipped with my diff. cover, hoping I can just run to the hardware store and pick up something that will work. Thanks for any help!
I agree that the Watts link is the best suspension mod for a solid axle mustang but i think its a bit overkill for OP's application especially if he isn't going to track the car. I would have to disagree about the disconnected feeling. Compared to stock, it feels like a different car.. planted...
Just my .02 but I feel that its important to keep all parts from the same manufacturer if possible, since it was all designed together. If your not sacrificing quality, (Hurst-BMR) then whats it matter.
Solid list though, just did all of that suspension work to my car, minus the sways, CC...
I believe this is the case in most states, my wife rear ended a car, after the driver in front swerved to miss, car that she hit had no working brake lights and my wife was still at fault because she rear ended the car.
Ill eyeball it from the picture on the mbrp instructions, i guess if you think about it it doesnt matter how long the spacer is as long i dont get crazy with it, should still be secure and ridgid. Thanks for the help again guys
I will definitely look into this and see if it works because its the driver side pipe that is rattling. Thanks Fuel, just out of curiosity, what else has everyone tried without using the spacers listed above, just in case
Even if you change to High flow Cats you will have a very noticeable difference in exhaust volume. From my understanding on boosted cars with stock cats, they need to come off ASAP.
I have a stainless works cat back on my car with the 3" piping. I just installed BMR (UCA,LCA,ADJ Panhard, Panhard support, relos, springs) anyways, the new BMR panhard support stands up taller under the car than the OEM support. Now my over the axle pipes are rattling on the support and I...
Could be a couple things, could be you over axle pipes hitting your pandhard bar support. If you are running an aftermarket UCA without the Aftermarket UCA bracket, thats probably the source of the noise
Happened in KC this afternoon, I was driving down the highways going to pick up my title from the dealership and I came up on a 135i. I wasn't really trying to race or anything but I noticed when I passed the guy he kinda of gave me a look. I just minded my own business and went on for about...
