That's the way the kits come. My first kit, I used a MAFia range extender and that had enough wire lengthto make it down the hole. My second setup used a change to a late model MAF. That setup required an adapter that was about 12 inches of wire. Also making the extension for me.
NGK TR6s are pretty popular with the supercharged crowd. They are a heat game colder and are dirt cheap. Border core , should change them every 25k to 30k miles.
I think mine are gapped to .035.
Thanks for the reply. I'm thinking you're probably right.
Devil's advocate thinks that the position shouldn't change the operation as long as it was in a similar sized housing. It should just be a lower reading than its normally seeing.
Any other thoughts on it?
I'm wondering if I install my procharger with 60# injectors, slot style MAF in a blow thru tube and tune it all up, can I remove the supercharger and run the car without a retune?
Maybe put the MAF in a lightning housing and slap it into jlt cai.
Will the supercharged tune play in NA form...
Does anyone have a quick write up on how to remove the front coolant crossover? You know, the big obtrusive black tube that cages in the alternator. Going to take the intake off sooner or later and need to know how to get that thing off. Thanks.
The body codes were pulled. Didn't get to see what they were. One of the front sensors was bad. That got replaced. Supposedly the other code was for the module. Also the shop he was at supposedly put jumper on the abs pump and it worked fine.
We've thought about just pulling the bulb. Still leaves us concerned that it won't pass inspection though. But if the modules are all the same we'll go that route. Appreciate the reply. Thanks
So I'm working on my dad's 01 L. His abs light illuminated. He took it to a shop and they told him a sensor went bad and the abs module is shot. They replaced the sensor but want about 1300 to replace the module.
With his style of driving, we can get by without the abs system. However, I'm...
The 69 and 70 also had the non functional longer scoop but i think stacking that on the existing cowl would get a little clunky looking. Might look good grafted onto a new edge v6 hood but you don't have the clearance for that.
The 69 and 70 mach 1s had a pretty noticeable side stripe. I ding think you could pull off the high visibility look of the originals but steel from the design layout. Maybe a vinyl shop could fab up something in the same style with a satin back and silver accent. Then maybe do a full satin black...
It might shift a little different especially around town but that's because the deep gears will make it very easy for your transmission to do it's job. Its nothing that would have a negative effect. Just steep gears ding what they do. Probably skip you the higher gears faster unless your...
Car will run fine after the swap. Only it will be a lot more fun. You can change the speedometer with a hand held tune without changing anything else if you don't want to. Get them gears, tune in the speedometer and get to destroying tires.
I have a short clip of the exhaust idling cold with the longtubes and the stock catback. I would like to make another short clip with the packs and a third with their packs and off road pipe. Be a neat comparison. Don't have any from before the longtubes. But stock is near silent anyway.
I got both the catted and off road x pipes that match the mac longtubes from lethal performance. I can appreciate the mellow the cats provide. But at some point I'll put the other pipe on and let it sound nasty and raw.
The 4.30s do make the car come alive. From a low rumble to angry scream in...
Bought magnapacks about 2 weeks ago. Finally got a few hours to put it on. Nice kit. Went together pretty easily. Had to adjust it a couple times and may have to tweek the tips again.
The sound with my catted mid pipe and longtubes is phenomenal. I'll bet it will be really nasty with my off...
I swapped in my new aluminum driveshaft yesterday. Haven't gotten to drive the car yet but I can tell you it looks real nice under there. Once I get the catback installed, the whole undercarriage is going to look pretty trick.
