Well, we were mailed the receipt for the recall done on the wife's '08 GT500 a few days ago, and sure enough it's the 5R3Z-63044A74-B part number.

The first recall part (inflator, not airbag) was found to be pretty much the same as the part they were replacing. So now they have "new and improved" inflators they're installing under the current recall. What year is your car?

Got the recall done on the passenger side airbag on the wife's Shelby today. In and out in about 90 minutes. And I think it only took that long cuz it took about 45 minutes for it to get dispatched.

According to the latest recall, 17S01, that part # is to be used only for the 2012 Mustang and the 2005-2006 Ford GT (the supercar). The 2005-2009 Mustang uses part# 5R3Z-63044A74-B See here...

Yeah, it's an overdrive gear, but it accelerates very well in 6th, even from only 60-65. Gotta love that torque, especially with the 3.73 gears :)

Well, a colder plug would be something like the NGK TR7IX, right? Which is an Iridium plug. I run those in my blown '13 GT and I noticed a smoother idle and an overall smoother-running engine after putting them in and removing the zero-heat-range Motorcraft plugs that I had in there.

Occasionally if in 6th gear, going 60+ and just pressing down on the gas pedal somewhat to gain 10-15mph, I'm pretty sure I've heard some pinging. That could've caused those specks, right? We try not to do that anymore and just downshift to 5th

Yes, I know Pete very well, even had his electrical company re-wire most of my house before we moved in. His expertise is definitely in 2V and 3V engines, and in the 4.6/5.4/5.8 4V stuff.

Well, 150 miles now with the spacers in, including about 20 miles today being hard on it, "beating it like a Honda" like a friend would say. I figured that that's the only kind of driving that I haven't done in the last 2300 miles that I've been fighting this, so why not go out and drive it hard...

Any update from anybody on this issue? I'm still driving it trying to maintain a steady load between 12% and 60%, the settings my tuner put in for the tests to run, and staying between 1000-3000 RPM. So far I've put more mileage on this car this year trying to get this to set than any other kind...
