    SVTPerformance forum appreciation

Just want to mention that this forum is by far the best forum I'm currently on. There were a few good ones back in the day but now most forums are full of retards and pussies (not the good kind!). The vintage car guys seem to think that if it wasn't done that way in the 1960s or when they...

    Fallout on Amazon Prime

Never played the video games. Heard the show was good and got the wife to watch it with me last night. Episode 1 was great. Wife is hooked so that's a bonus. Production value and budget of TV shows these days is absolutely insane.

    Engine bay cleaning / detailing

Right. Simple Green Extreme Aircraft and Precision cleaner is what you want on your car instead of the standard formula. And I agree that under hood dressing just makes everything a magnet for dust and gunk. I never bothered warming up before cleaning because that's that degreaser's job. I'd...

Where does your Cobra live?……Let’s see those parking spots

What ramps are you using? The area where my ramps connect on my Bendpak looks a bit different than yours.

    SVTP stock pick thread.

Yup and I didn't post anything that contradicts their statements today. Everything in the economy is firing on all cylinders, therefore no need to cut at all, even if inflation was at 2%.

    SVTP stock pick thread.

Economy is strong (corporate earnings growth continues), labor market is strong (longest run under 4% since the 60s), inflation is 3.2% which is not much above the long term target of 2 (everyone forgot the Fed in 2020 said they would be willing to have inflation be higher than normal for some...

    Car Show Etiquette

I'll go to a cars n coffee with my daughters because they enjoy it. Folks that go to those are generally also car people and get the no touching rules. Other people are idiots. I'll never go to car shows that are "events" where regular people attend. Most people are absolutely clueless. I had...

Post one newer pic of your ride (EVERYONE!!)

Shrug. It's been underwhelming given the reviews and expectations. Sure it's fast. It's also soulless. The electronics suck. I've put about 10k miles on it. I think I'd know if I liked it by now. Probably my biggest car purchase regret ever.

What cars first stirred your passion?

The exact 930 Slantnose in my sig. ETA: for those that don't know the story, that's a 1 family, 2 owner car. I remember the day it came home in 1987.

I have an Avant and would 100% rather have the GT4. Totally not impressed and will be trading it in 2 months or so (stupid Colorado DOT employee backed into me so I need to get that repaired first). Owned it less than a year.

Opinion on if retune necessary - 2003/4 cobra whipple 2.3 reverting from offroad to stock mid pipe

My understanding of the CA SMOG system is that is looks at the checksum of your tune and compares it to the SMOG database. They do the same thing in Colorado now. People with aftermarket tunes get an error "unable to connect" and then get sent straight to a referee station. -Like what decipha...

Opinion on if retune necessary - 2003/4 cobra whipple 2.3 reverting from offroad to stock mid pipe

It's not a backpressure issue... if COT is turned off then you'll melt your cats. Also, you won't pass the visual in CA with aftermarket cats.

Opinion on if retune necessary - 2003/4 cobra whipple 2.3 reverting from offroad to stock mid pipe

You'll likely need a new tune. Are your rear O2's turned off? Did they turn off cat over temp protection? If you're trying to SMOG in CA you'll need the stock tune or a CARB approved tune to pass. If you have any other tune you'll get sent to a referee.

https://www.zdnet.com/google-amp/article/driving-fast-or-braking-hard-your-connected-car-may-be-telling-your-insurance-company/ Awful. Yet another reason to hate new cars. ETA more info from the original New York Times article: Verisk: Their website lists partnerships with GM, Ford, Honda...

    No Speeding

TLI is part of Audi Connect PRIME for my 2022 RS6. This was renamed Audi Connect PLUS and is $49 / month or $500 per year. Also part of this is a wifi hotspot, online radio (don't even know what this is), weather, google earth type views. Retarded cost for what I get with Android Auto for free...

    No Speeding

They have it is most cities here in Colorado... It's only available via subscription to Audi. Not really sure what the point of this feature is. I don't subscribe so I just watch the traffic light like I've done for decades. Works OK, I guess. Dirty camera covers might have an impact. Most...

    No Speeding

My RS6 has cameras, etc. to detect speed limit signs. Does not work 100%. It especially misses the variable speed limit signs. I would 100% spray paint over the camera and disable GPS. My 1969 and 1987 vehicles will get a lot more miles on them.

Ceiling is 10'7". Headroom with the door up is 10'2". First time up I went slow and got on a ladder to check. I put a piece of red electrical tape on the lift post so I know when to stop. I have 7" of headroom above the Porsche under the lift. It's tight but it works. Width is 10'6" and that's...

    Crazy situation

"play stupid games win stupid prizes." That said, he did chase those whiteys down as they were fleeing the scene and he had his gun hidden under the sweatshirt in his hand as he was shooting at them... Probably murder. Not an attorney though I do frequently stay at the Holiday Inn Express.
