    Nitto 555 G2----Opinions please

I have them on my 01 - 265/35/18 front, 295/40/18 rears on my 18x9/18x10 staggered setup. Great tire, don't notice much extra road noise. Drove through torrential rains after Woodward Dream cruise two years ago and no issues with hydroplaning. I would recommend them

Holly appears to be dumping their Cobra headers

That is tempting... This note at the bottom caught my eye... for real? "Breaking in an engine with ceramic coated headers WILL result in damage to the coating and will VOID all warranties. Hooker recommends using cast iron exhaust manifolds or old headers during your engine break-in...

    IRS axle shaft replacement

When I pulled the IRS out of my 01, I found used 03-04 shafts. They are direct replacement. I do have my stock ones with 55k on them in the garage. I am in Toledo if you are close. Sent from my iPhone using svtperformance.com

Bought the most neglected Cobra ever

As a fellow 01 Cobra convertible owner, I appreciate the resurrection of that car! I am glad you found a solution to keep the interior tan, as that was fairly rare, and looks great with the black. I know how much the replacement upholstery is for the black/gray... I am not even sure the...

Rolex 24 at Daytona starts in a few mins!!!

I have been to two Rolex 24s live. Quite the event for sure and should be on any automotive enthusiast's bucket list!! Disappointed in how much the rain had a factor in the race, but always good to see cars on a racetrack. The number of manufacturers represented is amazing.

    2001 cobra transmission removal

I just did this the last couple of weeks. Doing it on my back with not a lot of extra clearance. Here is what I have learned in case anyone else actualy uses the search in the future..... SK tools makes a very long extension 1/2" drive down to 3/8", I also used SK swivel impact short socket...

    01 cobra suspension

I would highly recommend this as well. I did my IRS bushing, diff mount, UCA and LCA bushings. I fair bit of work, but totally worth it. I also installed a Terminator IRS front brace that includes the mounts to the diff as well. I went Maximum Motorsports CO front and rear with Koni SA...

    "Powered by Ford" value?

I am hoping like thousands of dollars so I can sell the ones that were on my 01 Cobra when I bought it to fund more mods! LOL

    Logano WINS!!!!

It was a strong win for him yesterday. He had the best car by far and the crew did their job all day. I am glad Harvick did not win it. His whole spoiler issue left a really bad feeling for me that they had been doing that for a while, and just finally got caught. Working in the "gray area"...

    1995 GT "two top" hardtop/convertible

If I remember back in the day, that was offered as an option on any Mustang that year. I have no many how many people got that because I am sure it was pricey. If you can get some documentation from Ford based on the VIN to verify that was indeed factory installed on a GT it may be a pretty...

How much value does a drilled bumper destroy?

If you don't want to use the front bumper bracket, you should take that into consideration for what you are willing to pay for it. I wouldn't say that it hurts the value per-se, because if front plates are required in your state, then many buyers wouldn't see the drilled bumper as an issue...

    IRS Bolts

I used a new front bolt when I did my FTBR bushings, and I used the Maximum Motorsports Allen head in the rear. When I first put on my 10.5" wheels with the 295/45/18s on them... It sure looked close even with that bolt at full droop.

Help with Cobra Brakes and Wheels

The Cobra 99-04 brakes are not bad at all especially on the lighter foxes. If you wanted to go to a 4-piston front caliper, that would give you more clamping forces. I guess it depends what you mean by "overly expensive". Baer has front 4-piston setups starting at around $1500 for 13"...

Looking good!! Nice work!! Are those rectangular pieces part of the sway bar mounts? If I remember right, there were two pieces that fit together and bolted down... strikes me as looking familiar to those!

    Look What Arrived Today

Ahhhh gotcha! I got the knuckles powder coated (along with everything else) so they joints had to come out anyway. That would save some $$ if they are still good.

    Look What Arrived Today

When I removed the axle shafts on my 01, there was the same grease in the bearings, I replaced them as well. I did the cross axis joints from FTBR and used their tool to install them per the method in their video. Didn't need any heat on them.

Stock 01 Cobra Wheels with tires

Selling the factory wheels off my 2001 Cobra. 58K miles on them when removed. Overall decent shape. Some corrosion on the inner rim, but exterior looks good. I would rate them a 7/10 on appearance. One wheel has a small mark on the lip, another has a scuff that scraped some of the chrome...

    Look What Arrived Today

I just installed the full FTBR bushing set this winter on my 01. Getting the bushings out was not too bad. I think the lowers were the worst. I did get the tools from them, and would highly recommend them. I used the torch method on the subframe bushings. I also did the cross axis joints as...
