Longer? You want it shorter. And actually with a half inch of play you are good. The clutch fingers won't ever move that far back.
And just so were clear; cable is off and you can move the TOB back towards the transmission so there is a 1/2" gap between the fingers and TOB?
Yeah I meant...
Yeah the cable isn't installed yet and it is a dual disk. I first tried the stock pivot ball and there was probably 1/2" play, so I used the adjustable one to make it a little longer to bring the throwout bearing closer to the fingers. I will adjust it a little shorter now to give it some room
Thanks again for all the advice! The plastic alignment tool definitely sagged a bit so I had to wiggle it to line it up. Works now. I used the adjustable pivot ball stud and noticed that the throwout bearing is slightly touching the pressure plate fingers. I can spin the bearing by hand but...
Thanks for the advice! I'm gonna pull the clutch apart again and start over. I wish I had a steel shaft to use but I'll try putting a little pressure on the disks using the plastic one and see what happens
just installed a McLeod rst clutch, mcleod lightened steel flywheel and a ford racing pilot bearing. I used the clutch alignment tool so everything is aligne. When I go to install transmission it will not go in the last inch. Seems like something is hitting. The throwout bearing is not the issue...
03 cobra with 59000 miles. Just did a compression test on a semi warm engine, wot, all plugs out. I used a SunPro tester i had bought a long time ago. Here are the results:

Long story short....I've been chasing an engine tick for awhile now, and when I put my stethoscope on the drivers side cylinder head and exhaust I can hear the tick pretty good. I was gonna pull the valve cover this weekend and see what I can find.
My question is when I pull the valve cover...
Just wondering about this. In the bulletin for the dreaded engine head tick it says the following: Try to isolate the noise by canceling the cylinders, by unplugging the injectors one at a time (start with #8 cylinder).
Now does this mean I unplug the #8 cylinder first, then plug it back in...
Finally got around to doing a wash, clay, buff, and wax job on the car. Used chemical guys V36/V38 and blacklight on a porter cable 7424xp. [/IMG][/IMG][/IMG][/IMG][/IMG]
I did a lot of research on the forums trying to find answers to this tick sound thats coming from the drivers side area of my 03 cobra. It only starts ticking when the engine is warm, and it ticks a little faster when the rpm's are increased. It doesn't tick when the engine is cold.
You...

This may sound like a dumb question, but I can't quite figure it out. I wanna jack up the rear of my car and put it on jack stands. I looked in the Terminator FAQ section and found the jacking points for the front and rear. If I put a jack under the rear jacking points, how can I possibly slide...
