Exactly. I was eventually gonna have to go the magnum route with a quicktime bell if I didn't find this transmission. Since I am not into drag racing really and this car was always meant to be a street car I might rethink my rear end gearing. We'll see.
Will do. It might be a while but I will certainly let you know first if and when it happens. I don’t know how I was lucky enough to get a police cluster and an LX cluster but like you I ended up with both.
Thanks! I will definitely keep posting because I have so much I would like to do to the car. The plus side of me not being wealthy is that this build is gonna go on for a while and I get to post about and y’all get to read about it! Haha!
Yeah. I have yet to install that camshaft. Maybe...
I am having 1995 Cobra R rims refinished for the Daddywagon. Here is a couple pics after stripping old chrome. Next step is powder coating gloss white.
The car is down for a while. I am installing polyurethane control arm bushings front and back and I may do some fabrication to switch to a mustang fuel tank.
It has a stock ho camshaft from a fox mustang. That necessitated a 94 and later 351W block. Block casting is F4TE so I could use stock fox mustang roller lifters and spider. Oh... and the stock cam is acting on higher ratio Cobra roller rockers to compensate for the extra displacement.
Haha! Thanks! It’s not very fast but it’s a fun street car. I’ve decided to use the E303 cam I have laying around. Maybe I can pick up a couple more hp. I live in Levittown, Pa. and route 13 is nearby.
Well... truth be told my car is a fox body with a 351w, 5spd, cobra irs, and brembos. So my car is an imitation of both cars in spirit. I ask because the Cobra R parts were mostly available and it could be done.
