    11-14 Roush stage 3 or 07-09 Gt500

Sai li makes a very budget fuel system. Lethal performance and jpc make a budget fuel system. Or fore innovations makes a real fuel system.

    Ported 2018 IM ?

for gen 1 intake vs the boss. The gen1 beats it all over the low end up to about 6800rpm or so. then thats where the boss intake makes the power... So if your not going to be tracking the car, Stick with your stock intake, or get a gen3 intake. porting may gain you some, but not enough to...

    11-14 Roush stage 3 or 07-09 Gt500

Recon mostly hit it, but figured i'd put in my $0.02 The RS3 (Roush Stage 3) is a Stock GT with body kit (Stage 1), suspension upgrades (Stage 2), and a blower installed (Stage 3). Unless it was custom done by Roush it wont have any other upgrades. Safety upgrades include but not limited to...

forged short-block, what did you guys do?

If you have the willpower to keep it lo . Then great. Most of the people i know we lie to ourselves. 800 will be enough, then 1000, then 1200, then...... I have a probelm, i told myself that i just wanted to run an 8, now i just wanna run a 7.... hopefully i will be satisfied, but you never...

    Exhaust connection question

IF the headers come with the x pipe, AND is meant for a 3" catback, then you should be good. If its meant to hook up to factory (2.75") then you may have an issue with the magnaflow catback... as it looks to be a full 3" setup. I'd assume you could call ARH and see if they know if it will...

forged short-block, what did you guys do?

there are advantages/disadvantages between the aluminator, gen2 shortblock, and a built shortblock. aluminator has manley h-beams, and forged pistons. but ring gaps that are too tight for higher hp applications. (at least the 11:1 comp one does) gen2 has powder forged rods (strong, but not as...

forged short-block, what did you guys do?

how would different bolts for water pump change what balancer you run... especially when you can swap the pumps on the car interchangeably (as long as you change both water pump and water pump pulley for the correct bolt pattern obviously)

forged short-block, what did you guys do?

My gen1 with opg's held up many hard miles at >800whp We are talking about 15k+

forged short-block, what did you guys do?

I would agree. You match timing components and cams to gen of the pcm. The od balancer would allow you to run a bigger blower pulley reducing chances of slip. I thought the ati balancer was for 11-17, possibly all coyotes?

forged short-block, what did you guys do?

Doubt they have sodium filled valves, and possibly have boss springs. But i dont trust the boss spring . They wear out relatively quickly. I currently run the trick flow (pac) springs with 209lbs pressure, cant remember part number. Most use the 1234x springs which have more seat pressure, like...

forged short-block, what did you guys do?

If you have gen 2 heads then your mostly there. If your going to push it at all grab valve springs (like 400), and aftermarket secondary chains (roughly double price of stock's and worth peace if mind). Ya ati balancer will balance out any other harmonics and keep engine smooth. Easier to oull...

forged short-block, what did you guys do?

Personally i'd do an ATI balancer. Then TSS crank sprocket and opg's. Have peace of mind. Would get a new oil pump housing if yours has any scaring. Gen2 heads basically are cast boss heads, so they flow better than gen 1 heads. also thing they have 1mm larger exhaust valves if memory serves...

    2012 Mustang 5.0 Coyote Motor

I would probably go with the most accurate way to measure you can. BUT I dont know as much as my machinist, so I let him do all the shortblock stuff. Seems like you may be better off doing the same. :D

    Difference in 11-14 and 15+ ?

I dont think it was shortblocks. I believe it was just one head. You can tell because 2015 had squared off intake ports compared to 2011-2014 rounded.

    Difference in 11-14 and 15+ ?

If you got the motor you can toss your timing stuff from your engine and run your computer. Still think it would be better to just redo your shortblock.

    Difference in 11-14 and 15+ ?

gen2's are a bit stronger, but not worth all the hassle of doing the swap. as Basspro said, just build your current engine. you'd need to do a pcm swap, then some weird stuff to make everything work. just not that much fun to do. Or you should be able to safely hit 650 wheel on corn with your...

    Launching at the track

when i had my manual, i'd have the wotbox set at about 5200rpm, and dump the clutch. usually would equal to 1.5 60' had a couple 1.4's. went 9.91@144 up here in colorado stock motor.

Valvesprings/Valvetrain for extreme duty NA road course use

well it depends on what your wanting to accomplish. I havent heard of anyone breaking a boss valve, but everyone i know used aftermarket or gt valves if they go with boost. i have a boosted coyote with stock intake valves, inconel exhaust valves, and THESE valve springs. They arent as stiff...

Front control arms need to be replaced - suggestions?

just unbolt the rack/pinion. it will allow you to move it enough to let the bolt out without hurting tie rod or boot.

    F-150 Engine in 2011 GT

f150 engine in first gen is slightly different. different oil pump (lower volume on f150), 10.5:1 vs 11:1 compression, different cams, different intake. if you can swap the cams (boss cams are stupid cheap) and oil pump housing/gears, you only have a half a point compression difference, which...

    Strangest Problem in the World

first think i would check is the output for start from the ignition switch. seems like that contact in the switch could be wearing oddly or something. trick is to be testing voltage while its not working. (also testing voltage to make sure there is some when it is starting) you could set up...
