Kind of an odd ball question, but does anyone know if the CV boots on the rear axles expand outward at speed? The reason I ask is I have a custom application where I have to run an ebrake cable within a quarter of an inch of the boot.
Thanks in advance
Let me know what you've got. Looking to pick something up for fairly cheap. Please email as I check that much more often.

I got into a discussion with a buddy of mine who owns a Lightning. Assuming this criteria, which would win in an autocross?
1) Same power output
2) Same driver who is used to both cars equally
3) Stock suspensions
I was under the impression that the 03 Cobra would win pretty handily...
Anyone using one of these to measure engine RPM with the wideband? I've heard they don't work good. Anyone else want to comment?
PS Big thanks to maoun for helping me with a few questions about the LM-1.
Since the computer is in charge of the fuel pressure, and no matter what the BAP is set at, the computer will just adjust voltage as necessary to get the correct fuel pressure, why would you just not run the BAP at 50% (max) all the time? Why do people have to get on a dyno to find the right...
There has been a lot of talk about people that are wiring up their BAPs full time (no boost switch). Will this cause the pumps to burn out much quicker? I would assume not since the PCM controls how hard the pumps work. Any other side effects?
I haven't had a chance to use my Predator to modify any of the parameters on my car. I've only used it to install a custom tune from RWTD.
If I am on the dyno and want to try to add in a degree of timing up top, can I just do that under the 'modify parameters' section in the predator...
Well, I am trying to siphon the gas out of my tank so I can drop it to do the pump rewire. I have a hose that is plenty long enough, and only about as big around as my thumb, but every time I put it down the filler tube, it runs into something about 2 feet down and everytime I pull it back up...
Can anyone tell me if the wiring harness to the fuel pump is accessable through the hole in the trunk floor? Here is a pic:
(Pic courtesy of BLK_03)
If not, what is that hole for?
The title is pretty self explanatory. Do I need any sort of 'adaptor plate' to install the hub, and also do I need any adaptor to remove the hub? If so, where can I get this adaptor plate? I already have the pulleyboys puller.
thanks
Joe
Ok, I am looking for some advice here. While installing my ported Eaton, my buddy 'forgot' to remove the backmost lower intake manifold bolt (the gold ones) on the driver's side. When we lifted up the on the blower snout to raise the blower+lower intake to take off the intercooler cap, the ear...
Hey guys,
Sorry if this has been covered recently, but I was going to swap on my Steigemeir ported blower on my 03 this weekend and had a few questions. I've read the directions on Apten's site, seems pretty straightforward. Should I have anything on hand from Ford (gaskets, bolts, etc) that...
Hey, I was in Detroit on business these last few days, and today on my way to the airport I saw a black 03/04 pulled over on 94 westbound about 2 miles from the airport. Was it anyone here?
I have heard so much conflicting evidence on this subject that I wanted to straighten it out. If you've done an xpipe, please reply here. Posting pertinent details would be nice too, like catted or off-road, noise levels, relevant mods.
Has anyone done this themselves? I really don't want to bring my car into the dealership with my mods. Seems like it would be an easy fix, does anyone have any pics of the area in question behind the vents?
Any chance if I do bring it in the dealer won't pop the hood or floor it?
Does anyone have, or could anyone take, a picture of their installed off-road x-pipe? In particular the clearance of the pipe to the underbody. I am going to be experimenting with resonators on my off-road X to dampen the sound and I was curious as to how much room there will be. The pipe I...
On a previous car, I got very sick and tired of the exhaust drone, so I ordered a Dynomax bullet muffler and had it welded up with flanges to use in place of the off-road pipe. This was basically a straight through, perforated core muffler. Here is a link to this muffler...
I read about Amazon Racing's ported plenums in this thread:

Has anyone tried just the upgraded plenum? Did you feel a difference, or more importantly, did you see any gains on the dyno? Thanks
Joe

I currently have a 2.8 upper and metco 100mm aux. idler with a Gatorback 080745 belt. This belt fits perfectly with this setup. I have been hearing some bearing noise out of my factory idlers and I would like to replace them with billet pieces. Can I get away with changing the factory 90mm...
I just got done installing my UPR quadrant and firewall adjuster. I read through at least 5 installation instructions online, which helped out a lot. I bought the new "extreme" FW adjuster, shown here:

I had a couple of questions...
I have called 3 different autozones in my area and not one can even find part # 4080745 in the system. One guy told me that the have goodyear gatorback part numbers listed as CD-XXX. I really want to pick this up locally if possible.
Can anyone help me out here?
