They have not said anything about the maf, but since you have brought it up I'm starting to think it could be the problem. The intake tube did have some cutting into the underside of it from the coil cover, but as you said that contact shouldn't set off the sensors. ( I was just going over...
I've been data logging through Lund's tuning support for about a month now and they assured me it is false knock. I switched to higher quality fuel (108 octane) to deal with any possible poor fuel issues and there was still knock. I was sent a new tune with lower timing (closer to stock I...
Would anyone with a PMAS cai mind posting some pictures of the clearance between the intake and the engine coil cover.
I have been trying to resolve some false knock issues and I believe my jlt cai 123mm could be causing it. The intake tube sits very close/on the coil cover and I'm wondering...
I just recently began sending Lund some datalogs and the knock sensors are pulling timing at WOT. After ruling out fuel quality by adding octane booster they believe it is false knock. So now I am on that search.
Do you mind sharing what parts you checked that would cause any mechanical...
Thanks for all the responses. I see where the black/flat black may not look too good. I'll probably put the order in for the vmb5 gunmetal tomorrow. Split5's are nice, but I like the vmb5's more
Need some opinions:
I found three Velgen wheels that I like, but can't decide what would look better.
This is the gt500
Wheel options
VMB5
VMB7
SPLIT5
They all come in satin black, bronze, or gunmetal. I'm leaning towards black, but bronze could look alright.
Here are some car/wheel...
Installing the wot box for a 5.0 should be the same difficulty as for the gt500. If you only want the 2-step, I would look at the MSD 2-step. Much easier to install than the wot box. The msd 2 step is not made for the 5.8's though
After reading on their website I gathered that a tube was not needed for the hoosiers I am using. Before the hoosiers I had the non bias ET street R and it was a good drag radial, but I wanted to launch. Eventually I will have a 15in wheel and MT stiff sidewall slicks but the hoosiers worked...
I can get a screenshot of the wot box setup once i'm near the car again. I'll post it up for you.
The 2-step is really helpful. From the launch my foot never came off the pedal. I had it WOT all through first gear and it felt great. I've used the nls a lot, but I would need to play around with...
I actually have read a lot of threads that you've posted in about 4.10's. I thought 3.73's would be a bit more for all-around driving. I tracked the gt500, but don't have plans for that anymore. Just some highway pulls and dragstrip now. I may go with 4.10's as I don't plan on making too much...
I know the trap speed was pretty low. On the clean runs my 1-2 shift was ~6300 and my 2-3 was ~6700. I ran twice trying to shift 1-2 at 6700 and missed both times. After missing I got a little slower and cautious to ensure I didn't miss again.
I've been reading some threads on 1-2 shift lockout...
The launch control as in the one built into the car? I've never used that. I have a wot box and used the 2step from that. Along with holding the brake and the traction control button down to disable everything.
The rxt is great.
