I don't feel so bad after reading some of these posts. I haven't driven mine much lately and have only put about 2k miles since I bought it 4 years ago. It's an 04 with about 34k on it. I don't drive it much in the summer, mostly on nice cool winter days.
I bought my 04 with 32k miles on it about 4 years ago. My coolant needed to be flushed and the brake fluid was very dirty. It can't hurt to go ahead and change all the fluids. Piece of mind...
I would go and look at it based on the mileage. It seems all the issues are relatively minor. Check the paint, check the condition of the seats under those seat covers, listen to the motor, and definitely drive it. There asking price of 24k is too high, and that is before all the dealer fees...
You can find front used calipers on ebay for pretty cheap. Most of them are in rough shape but they are easily rebuildable with new O-rings and dust boots. Pull the pistons out and send them to a good powder coater and they will look and function like brand new.
1981 Toyota Corona. Bought it from my dad for 1200$. A fine example of a New York rust belt car. It had the 22R motor in it so it ran great. Drove it down to Florida in 1994 and drove it for a couple of years before selling it to a guy in my squadron for 500 bucks.
Seems like you are on the right track. Exhaust, CAI and smaller pulley. I would definitely recommend taking it to a dyno and having it professionally tuned. I have Eibach lowering springs and like them. I also put a bump steer on it. I also recommend full sub frame connectors. They will...
I think if you convert your loonies to US dollars, at 80 cents to the dollar, It comes out to about 28,800$. It's a little high, but that low color production demands a premium.
Transmission is easy. Pull the drain plug, drain fluid, reinstall drain plug. Remove your shifter, pour in 4 qts of your favorite ATF fluid through the top of your transmission. Reinstall shifter. Done. Diff fluid is a different story as you can see from previous posts.
I had one inch wheel spacers on my back wheels. They stuck out a little far for my liking. I have stock 17x9 wheels on the back with 315 tires on them. When I would hit a significant bump in the road the tires would rub a little. I can't have this, so I swapped out the one inchers for some...
I have an AccuFab plenum. It has a few paint blemishes but still looks great. It looks stock from the outside but you can really tell that the inside flows much better than stock. It is designed to be used with a single blade oval throttle body, it won't work with stock throttle body. I can...
The problem with buying a "rare" sub 1000 mile car is, as soon as you start driving it and putting miles on it, you lose the rarity. That 50k dollar car just became a 25-30K dollar low mileage unmolested Cobra. So unless you want to lose 20k dollars in just a few short months of driving, you...
There is a difference between the 03 and 04 Cobra side scoops. The 03's had a honey comb type insert. The 04's had a horizontal line type pattern. Not sure about the differences between the GT's and the Cobras.
That sounds like one hell of a deal. It seems the prices of low mileage Terminators has been steadily going up over the last few years, especially on the stock/near stock ones. I bought mine a few years ago when it seemed like prices were going down. My car was mostly stock with 32k miles on...
He didn't call me stupid but the instructions he sent didn't fix my problem. I tried multiple times to fix the idle problem but nothing worked. I hated to give up on the throttle body but I can't stand a car with drivability problems.
Sent from my LG-H918 using the svtperformance.com mobile app
BilletFlow throttle body. No matter what I did, the car never idled right. I emailed the company and they sent me instructions which I followed exactly. It's a shame too. The throttle body looks great and seems to be extremely well made. I just put the stocker back on and the car runs and...
I have a driver side caliper that is fully rebuilt with brand new pads and new seals just sitting in my garage. It's painted black and very clean. It came off my 30k mile 04 Cobra. I don't want much for it. Let me know if you want to make a deal.
I have a Steeda on the drivers side which catches quite a bit and seems to be working well. I just put the JLT on the passengers side, so not sure how well it works. It seems to be a quality piece. From what I have heard, without these filters, you run the risk of sludging up the cylinder...
I stayed with the Autolite's XP 103's. I split the difference with everyone's advice on the gap and gapped them at about .033-.034. Cars seems to be idling perfect. Took it for a quick ride with no issues. Thanks for everyone's input.
