I had a similar experience with my warranty through my credit union on my 2012. No where near your cost but a rear end rebuild at $2300. The company sent a rep out to look at the car and signed off. I walked out paying $100 deductible and they paid for my rental car. The dealership carries a 4...
I just turned 60k on my 2012 a few weeks back. Had 40k when I bought it in April of 18. I know it's not me but there is a guy on the GT500 Facebook group with 198k miles though.
I've been out of the game awhile but there was an acceptable loss of freon from a sealed system. Never the less they should have added UV dye to the system and let it run to diagnose a major leak or just accepted loss over time. When I trained with R134a it was something ridiculous like up to...
The dealership quoted me diagnostic time but it wasn't on the bill. Unless the warranty company paid separate I think dealer added it to the repair time.

Guys just wanted to share my experience with Mercury insurance for mechanical issues. When I bought my 2012 GT500 with 41K on the clock I didn't think I'd be seeing any issues this soon. I started hearing a noise in the rearend, I thought it was gear whine at first. Then it seemed to get a...
Give the guys at JLT a shout. Great group of guys, I actually drove down to the shop last summer.

You could clock the rubber connectors where you didnt see the JLT or get some generic ones. Not stock but also not super flashy.

I found some on closeout at Ebay when I looked last year. I ended up just using the JLT version for what it's worth.

I don't hate AM either I do love their quick shipping and the SVT discount doesn't hurt. Just has to feel weird having all those power pack GT500 videos out there using Bama tuning but this one we're not going to touch.
So I wonder if the customer requested a Lund tune.Strikes me as odd to not showcase in house tuning.

They installed a Whipple on this car. I'm wondering if American Muscle is parting ways with Bama since they used Lund for tuning here.

Car had non adjustable Steeda lowers when I bought it. After talking to the shop doing the work they recommend doing adjustable lowers and non adjustable uppers rather than adding adjustable uppers now. I do want all that shiny hammer tone black underneath too.

Guys after my pulley swap I've definitely seen the need for more traction in the rear. I'm looking at non adjustable upper control arms, single adjustable lower control arms, adjustable panhard bar, and lca drop brackets. I started looking at BMR products and wanted to know if their was a...
I'm back. The diminished value report has been completed and sent to the insurance company. There were some arguments about a prior glass claim made by previous owner. That has been settled so now hopefully to the important part. Hopefully a new update in a week or so maybe a resolution.

This is my .02 cents. My dealings with dealerships have been lackluster at best. Most haven't none much about modified cars or don't care to know. The prices they charge for parts and labor I'd start looking for a reputable local performance shop who can give you advice and work with you. If...
The MGW comes with dynamat and specific instructions on where to put it. They also have a foam dampener to use in concert with the factory cloth piece. I haven't noticed any additional NVH after the install. The shifting is night and day. I could move the shifter around while it was in gear with...
Saw this post the other day, thought I would get everyone's opinion on it. I'm not looking to do a rebuild anytime in the future just thought it was interesting information.

Alright everyone time for another update. The bodyshop finally was able to get the car back together with decent fitment in the lines. The paint match is pretty close. The stripes look good at first glance but let's leave that one alone. I've started the diminished value claim against the...
There is something wrong with the Ford site. I tried randomly for months before one day it magically works and downloads the file. I called and spoke with their tech support and was told it's a known issue. Theres a thread on the ford.gt500.com forum about it too.
