I am doing nickle and dime weight reduction with the goal of street performance and handling. This is on a 02 GT. I have already deleted everything I'm willing to part with and have lost over 100lbs out of the car (30 additional off of me lol). I'm considering swapping to a bullitt front swaybar...
So the Exedy Mach 400 and chromoly flywheel went in Saturday. I also had a MM clutch cable, MM quadrant, SR firewall adjuster, New clutch fork, and pivot ball installed. I am very impressed. The pedal effort is half what it used to be and the engagement is smooth as glass. Night and day...
I just received several clutch parts from AM to include: Exedy Mach 400 clutch, Exedy lightweight flywheel, Ford clutch fork, pivot ball, MM clutch cable, MM quadrant, SR firewall adjuster. I also ordered Timkin TOB and pilot bearing from rock auto. I will have all of this in next Saturday and...
Maybe I got lucky. I had my doubts if MTL would make any difference because the fluid I drained was a clean light amber. But I did MTL, clutch line, and dot 4 all at once and that combination worked wonders. The Barton two post I did several months ago and it too made a big difference

So my wife and are are trying to pay off debts. A friend of mine is looking to upgrade cars. I have a 2012 GT premium brembo with mods in sig. My car has 46000 miles on it. His car is a 2002 GT premium with basic boltons and 102000. We thought about swapping and he pays mine off then take the...
Just a heads up to all.
I just did my first brembo brake job and did a full system fluid flush while I was at it. I bleed I the classic furthest to nearest order. When I took it for a test drive there was air in the system and the brakes were mushy. I did some reading and discovered the proper...
I just wanted to post up that between a che k member brace with torque braces, Barton two post bracket, McLeod clutch line, redline mtl fluid change, and fresh dot 4 brake fluid flush this things shifts very smooth even when cooler in the morning. Second gear grind is gone clutch engagement is...
I am considering these as a budget alternative to Michelin PSSs. They seen to get good reviews. If these are good enough ill give them a shot. Or just say to heck with it and buy the PSS and not worry if they are good enough.. My wife will be thrilled.
I still have a few things left to complete my suspension, but I went with the following parts for a foundation.
Koni yellows for 05-10
GT 500 strut mounts
Steeda BOSS competition springs
The following are all from BMR
LCAs poly/spherical bearing
Relocation brackets
PHB brace
Poly single...
Wow, very nice thread and beautiful car.
I'm really liking that GT 500 steering wheel and will look into it for my car.
You did a great job, and your work appears factory.
The best solution would be more tracks. Or a motorsports club renting an air strip more than once a year. My street racing days are over but I would love to open it up on an air strip. Wannagofast 1/2 mile is in my future
Cars in general are far faster today than in years past. My wife drives a 2013 Toyota Camry V6 and it will move. Mid 14 second car according to the mags and averages 28mpg. And this is a 4 door family car. I just wish there was a way to open up the car on a closed course without making a day...
+1
I have tried most otc detailing products and this gives great results on plastics, rubber, leather, etc. It is also FAR cheaper in the long run than any product at your local detailmart
I see people driving and staring at their phones constantly. Distracted driving and drunk driving are the two major killers but they do not boost ratings for news outlets. I have always said to find a way to legally sanction in (shut down a strip of road) once a month and let people scratch...
Decided to get something cheaper to run and more practical. I am the 3rd owner originally female owned. Bought by previous owner no info on him and he traded for a 2012 5.0 while it was in the ford shop. Clutch and rear were replaced / approx march 2012. I bought the car in April 2012. The gears...
