Damn... That is crazy. In the Marines, I had my cheat sheet, specific to each rifle, taped to the inside of my butt stock, a pencil, 4x3 note pad and eye ball checker for wind and distance, to figure everything out for a cold or hot barrel shot. I loved my time in STA PLT

The fumes/vapor is what explodes, not the liquid. You can put a match out in a cup of gasoline, but hold it above the gasoline, and the vapor will ignite. It's just like flour mills, grain mills etc... The product won't explode, but the dust being suspended in the air will explode due to surface...

I think you're correct. Doesn't matter if you're making 400 or a thousand. If your engine can take it and you're not detonating from boost or timing, while keeping your AFR good... It's all good.
