Absolutely, I wish I had seen this when I installed my tow hook. I would have known what to look for and realized my splitter was not installed correctly. Thanks!!

So today, I bought a spare splitter and decided to try to reinstall mine since only the bottom side was scraped up. I found at least 6 screws that were missing from the dealer install. I also learned a couple things while doing the install.
The plastic belly has a front lip that must go...
So after three weeks of ownership, I had chance for open track day at TWS (Texas Work Speedway). Only a few chances left at TWS before the close the long track and only offer the short track - and then close[emoji23]. Anyway, on my way to the track at 5:30 AM, I hear this terrible flapping...
Before the last few posts I was going to chime in that it sounds like the pads were not bedded in properly. Also, after a track day when I drive home with same pads, They will start to squeal during street driving. I would generally not drive any more after I got home and changed back to...
I did a search but did not find anything on this - yesterday, after a nice morning drive in my 2017 350, the AC unit quits blowing cold air. Worked in the AM and quits in the afternoon - just like that. I am waiting on word from dealer to take it there but wanted to check in here to see...
I have only had my 350 for two weeks and haven't had much experience with any mechanicals yet. I will do a few HPDE days so the information provided (and further detailed) was very useful. I changed out my pads on the 500 for every event so I was expecting similar experience with the 350. Again...
Thanks for the post. I have only recently purchased the car so haven't considered brake pad changes yet but will be road tracking the car so will be referring to this. You mention 'necessary' upgrade. As somebody who has tracked his GT 500 many times with pad changes every time, do you mind...
Update. Picked up car. What a joy it is to drive. Since it is used, I need to figure out how to register it with Ford

Ha! As mentioned, it ain't real pretty, but it was a lot easier (for me) to put it in the same place. You really can't see it. I had already moved my horns behind the passenger side headlight so there was not a lot of room otherwise. I never liked the look of the horns showing in the middle of...
Robert, I also installed the 13/14 pump. Rather than relocate it, i used my OE clamp/bracket and a hose clamp and installed it in the OE position. It is not the prettiest installation but it works. I have pictures of it somewhere if you are interested.

Interested. Does it have install instructions? I am not sure I would know how to install. Sorry, i can't figure out how to PM from this app.

Mine is at 79k. It is great to see those high mileage cars out there. Personally, I would not worry about getting the pulley and tune.

I also have the C&R with 170 stat. I generally run similar temps above ambient. My HE fans are always on. When cruising on the highway I will typically be about +40F. I sitting in traffic, it can be +50-60F. I monitor my coolant at the same time with the Aero gauge. Going to distilled water...
I replaced the cap with a catch bulb. Hard acceleration was spewing fluid so I replaced with the bulb - looks like a small turkey baster. Got it from Ford dealer.

So I've had a triple pump, return style fuel system in the car for about a year. I had some recent issues with pressure and pumps supposedly fixed over the last couple of weeks. Took car out this weekend and after a couple of hours cruising around in 90F weather, I pulled into my garage and...
while on the track yesterday (road course), i was throwing flames out the exhaust. Exhaust tips turned a rusty brown (with a fine rust powder). So I guess I am running too rich but what do I need to adjust? Do I just go back to tuner and tell them what is happening and to 'fix it' or is this...
