well i bit the bullet and bought a used long block to get project going again, going to buy a spare transmission just in case

well i finally got the cab off and got access to the engine, i think i need a new block, trans seems ok, but has broken the back of the block, lucky the new blocks aren't to much money, this might explain why it won't turn, chassis was to badly twisted to remove in the time i had, so will get it...

i can move the shifter, but the display on the cluster just stays on R, where does it pick up the signal to change, doesn't appear to have any wires to the shifter, maybe from transmission, although when i disconnect the cable from the shifter it appears to be moving fine, can't get underneather...

if its not locked up, and will start, then its a good buy, $3018 ford the vehicle and $470 for keys, i think i done good, but even as a core to rebuild, its still a good price

well there might not appear to be damage, but engine is locked solid, and has no oil on the dipstick, but on closer inspection, i think the crossmember may have gone back a little and smashed the front of the oil pan, so i'm thinking it might be the crossmember that locking it up, or it ran long...

i personally prefer supercharger, but i feel for track fun i would get to much heat soak, street and 1/4 mile i think supercharger would be great, but i plan to run it on track days and some events where it would i think get to much heat soak, and also with the turbos, its easier to upgrade late...

also, a lot of people in the uk tis the american engines and say the power figure are different to uk figures, and are boat ankers, i would love to educate as to how good the coyote is and have an engine to prove they are the way forward, better than the euro engines

well, i bought this 2018 F150 5.0 today, so i now have a 2018 coyote, not collected it yet, hoping there isn't to much damage to engine, maybe just a pipe or 2, maybe brackets broken, will find out once i pick it up and get everything in front of engine out the way.
